@@eduardonavarro3325Con ese fútbol tercermundista conseguimos 4 campeonatos del mundo y 15 copas Américas, algo que USA jamás logrará obtener, además Uruguay no tenía ninguna necesidad de ganar este partido, es más podíamos perderlo 3-0 y aún así clasificar, no nos interesaba honestamente, solo queríamos ganar para demostrar lo fuerte que somos pero no era necesario.
I thought at first it was offside too, but the US players' foot made the play on side. VAR took a good long look at it as well and showed us that so we could understand the decision. Rules are the rules, even if I'm personally not crazy about how offsides are or aren't counted. Even though the result is surely disappointing for the US, It was a hard fought game and the US should be proud of themselves. With a few years of intense training in the final 3rd for one touch finishing, it will put them where they need to be.
@@ea4857 It was much closer than at first thought due to the stance of the US player but the video frame they selected may not be the one when the ball is impacted because the ball does not have the chip so it could have still been offside.

Hay que esperar un poco para que se derrumbe lo que ha construido Bielsa. Es todavia novedad, pero ya le van a tomar el pulso cuando el desgaste de los jugadores le pone fin a ese futbol de tortura.
Bielsa antes de el mundial 2002 ,fue DT de la selección argentina..clasificó de cara al mundial con muchos puntos al segundo que le seguía...y en el mundial llegó como favorita y quedó afuera.....por soberbio...por no llevar a jugadores que estaban en buen momento....y termino llevando a los muertos que jugaban en Europa con por ejemplo crespo,y compañía......
Puede que los árbitros fueran malos pero los jugadores de "soccer" también. Han mejorado con el tiempo,es cierto , pero les falta mucho aún para ser buenos jugadores de fútbol y no de soccer. Si empiezan por llamarle por el nombre correcto al deporte número 1 del mundo en una de esas les cambia el resultado, pero mientras sigan así,lo lamento...Arriba Uruguay nomá!!!

Us awful on passing . So much turnover. US took a back step . FIFA has us number 11. Try 50. If the US expects to compete high level against the power house teams of the world, its technical and tactical will have to improve a lot. Have a long way to go if we expect to play well in the next world. We played on our home soil and the last 2 games looked horrible . A lot of work is going to have to be done if we want to represent us well in next world cup
USA never looked like they were going to score because Uruguay’s defense is a brick wall. 0 big chances created. Pretty sure Uruguay has the best defense in the Copa America

The problem is the coach, but also the players! The USMNT just doesn't have e the best athletes playing the sport of soccer, like almost every other country on the planet! In the US, you get most of the players from private/prep schools, etc. Most of our top athletes are in basketball, football, hockey, etc. Can you imagine if soccer was played by the kids everywhere in the streets and not just the elite kids?

I don't ever want to see Weah, Berhalter, or that referee ever again. The USMNT were awful in this tournament, but that referee was the worst thing I've seen in years.
I knew that our USMNT are going to get eliminated and lose this match, and sadly I forgot to call my bookie as I was so sure of this result. All our incompetent people at US Soccer need to get fired as they have no idea in how to run a good and winning soccer program.
The fault lies with the horrible VAR idiots. The ref just followed the decision that VAR told him. This bad call was completely VAR's mistake and not the referee.
Let's be honest. Football is the fourth most popular sport in the USA. Expecting the national team to perform at the top level is like expecting Uruguay's ice hockey team to compete with the NHL elite. Physicality helps the US team measure up against the crowd or level the playing field, not skills or team play. Today, multiple fouls injured or nearly injured Uruguay's players. For those who argue there was an offside: football is not your cup of tea, you do not understand the rules. The moment Uruguay's player kicked the ball, no player was offside and most definitely not the one who scored the goal.

El futbol de Uruguay es bastante defensivo y táctico, y eso se vio incluso con Panamá y Bolivia... en general todos los partidos de Uruguay son así como este... me parece que Uruguay no juega un buen futbol...

Uruguay juega de tu a tu. USA llegó a ganar y también hizo mucho contacto físico así le jugó Uruguay. Uruguay puede jugar un juego limpio sin hacer tantas faltas también pero depende con quién juega ese tipo de football lo podes ver cuando juega con los países asiáticos. Porque Argentina, Uruguay Colombia y Chile siempre se dan palo y no lloran ....creo que a veces algunos equipos se le pasa la mano.....pero el football es así por eso ahí tarjetas y expulsiones y ahí personas que le gusta ese tipo de juego. A mi en lo personal no me gusta cuando veo que algún jugador ataca muy fuertemente para lastimar de gravedad a un jugador eso para mí es un NO....pero eso no fue lo que pasó aquí...en este juego solo estaban jugando de tu a tu.
