#RIAT23 #B52 0:05 Take off 1:19 Fly pass 1000ft 2:24 Landing 3:42 crab walk 3:42 Takes out landing lights It was a great sight watching this Iconic plane take off for it to later flypass and then land and show its crabwalk
@@TheBadBunny87 All winglets would do is increase the RCS. Winglets would not add anything to a relatively thick wing. It's kind of a total package thing. They tested winglets on a KC-135 and they were huge.
Amazing bomber that still has plenty of life in it. Best bit of video was seeing it crab along the runway. Glad they done that as its great to see such a beast do that. Brilliant stuff
Saw this beast live for the first time yesterday although the weather restricted the display I can’t get over it’s sheer size and why we in the U.K. don’t have that many runways capable of supporting this magnificent aircraft. Great vid Elwyn means so much more now I’ve seen it in the flesh. Thanks Mike
The only plane today's young pilots fly on the same plane as their fathers and grandfathers. She was well the crab walk at the end. Thanks for sharing Elwyn!
Never tire of seeing The Buff airborne - looking like four F4 Phantom's smoke all in one plane! The history of this beast is a legend, and on she goes. :)
Oh, how I miss that sound. My parents' house was at the end of 22L at KMHR when the 320th bomb wing was there. Once a month I'd get on the roof to watch the MITO alert. 4 nuke laden BUFFs and 4 fully loaded KC135's with the hammer down. Nothing sounds like that.
Darn, never saw or knew such an oblique angled crab walk like this is capable, it has to be at least 35 > 45 degrees. I'll bet the crowd was just as impressed as I am, pretty cool.
WOW, what a devil of a plane, bloody massive, hate to see the fuel costs, looks a lot is coming out of the engines thank you Elwyn for your footage - an Aussie
I explain, the octane number of fuel, the production of fuel, if there was a refueling and the remains of the contents from the engine were not drained, then a mutation occurs ... Therefore, the planes crash when taken, it turns on
They may not get out of the chassis, but put on one .... this is definitely death to everyone .... it’s better to land without a chassis .... Personally, I think so
Autopilot .... the most problematic ... when another fuel took off and they don’t give seating either at the take-off airport or at another .... where they sent ... and there, with such topics, the landing is in manual mode,
