Just to mention, Pixels 2 and above have a feature where they will disable the USB port for a long time if a short is detected, eventually with enough trying it'll give you a notification to tell you the port isn't working and after maybe a few days it'll work again.

Depends on which kind. If the Mobo is protected, you won't be able to break it, no matter how many you plug in. Try a hammer, much easier. Or just a screwdriver or something to pop off a chip
