USB to DMX interface for under $60!! 

Thank you for posting this, exactly what I was looking for. Just to be clear you can use this to control any DMX light from ADJ or Chauvet? I have the ADJ Color Burst 8 that I want to use it on. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something before I spent the $60. Thanks again for posting this.

Thanks for your positive comment. I don't check this channel much anymore, so I apologize for getting back to you late. Anyhow, this will work with absolutely any light that runs on the Digital Multiplex (DMX) protocol, wither it be ADJ, Chauvet, Elation, Martin...etc. It doesn't matter if it has a 5-pin or 3-pin connection either as long as you have the adapter for it. :)

With a mac, the only program you can really use with it is Q-light controller, and it already comes with a driver for the Enttec device.

Thanks for the video. Two questions: I've been debating getting this interface or the Enttec USB Pro but I don't see a USB input anywhere on the Enttec USB Pro, so how would one use that interface? Also, can MainStage be used to control lighting?

Hi! I am looking into getting an USB Midi-dmx box for my liveshows. i intend on using a DAW software like Cubase or Ableton Live to send midi signals to the box along side the backingtrack and metronome our band using(Left metronome-Right backtrack). Would that work with this one? Thanks in advance!

my enttec dmx to usb is not showing up in the universe on q light controller on mac or pc. i have installed the drivers and when q lite controller starts up it even shows up in the start up loading icon on the mac but it gives no option in the universe once the program opens. any ideas?

@StarPremierEntertain Thinking back on it, i didn't see the huge advantage between them. I understand the pro is more reliable than the open, as well as the fact that i buffers DMX, but i didn't feel as if it justified the fact that it was virtually double the price of the open for me in canada.

great video! i have a question. i bought same opendmx usb enttec, connected dmx light - 3pin cable - 5pin cable - opendmx - macbook air (early 2015 el capitan), and used QLC, but it doesn't work. i also tried iMac(2012, yosemite) but no works. do i need another driver or software? i really need your help, please.

can i use a dmx program of my choice? or is that the only one it works with?

QLC is free...assume you meant Enttec Open USB is $60. Really like QLC, but try QLC+. It adds some useful extra functionality. Problem is that neither of these support sound to light/chase as a function. This maybe isn't a problem if you are using a midi desk though. Regarding Enttec Open DMX USB...I have found it to flicker on my LED par cans and dimmer pack. Think this is due to the dongle consisting of just a USB to serial converter without any microcontroller to keep refreshing commands :/
