LA "fans" are weird! They will only attend if you win. USC has been having many attendance issues since the rams and chargers joined. Other stuff to do on a Saturday night than attend a USC football game in South Central LA. Too many entertainment options in LA.
@@Irish8625all valid points but its the biggest city in the whole country, if Nebraska can sellout, USC should be able to. Its actually insane that 78,000 fans out of millions of people in LA and USC fans abroad cant show up. Some colleges are in whole states with populations less than LAs and fill stadiums. Less options yes but still
@@themontgomeryc You also gotta compare Lincoln,NE to LA which you can't when it comes to entertainment options. Football is literally the only thing in Nebraska as with most of the SEC schools. Colin Cowherd said it the best, cfb dominates in those rural desolate areas where there's not much to do. Other exceptions to those rules are Ohio state, UW, and Texas which are in decent size cities but are still considered college towns minus UW. Schools like Miami and USC must have a winning product on the field being in urban cities with lots of entertainment options, or they will be playing in front of empty crowds which affects recruiting. USC only really sells out when it plays ND, Oregon, or UCLA. Miami really only sells out when they play FSU. The football players are also A-list celebrities at schools like UGA,BAMA, Tennessee, Ohio State, OU, Michigan, etc. The football players at schools like USC, and Miami are just another fish in a big pond. The football culture at those schools is much different. LA and Miami have a lot of fair-weather fans also. It sucks because when Miami, and USC were at their best, not a lot of teams could compete with them. USC was the NFL team of LA before the rams and chargers came. That might change though when USC plays with a big 10 schedule soon.
