Who needs a gym membership when you work on a blackhull? @2:11 Must be the SK working out (no deck time). Great work guys. On the funny side, wonder how many have come back from a "night out" and thought the hatch was the toilet @2:01
In 1973, our buoy tender was stationed temporarily from Portsmouth VA to Atlantic Beach, NC, near Morehead City, Beauford. Some of our buddies collected some fish, with a triangular body cross section, and deposited them into our ship's crappers. It was hilarious when a mess cook, last name of Scarborough, a NC native, came walking out naked from the foreward head with a fish in his hands!
I spent the latter 3 years of my four-year USCG enlistment on the USCGC Madrona, WLB-302, based out of Portsmouth VA. I was a QM2 when I departed. All good.
