Had the same issue as you with Aeon toe pressure, but I found that creative lacing can make a significant improvement to fit and feel. I skip the second row of holes, go up the same side, then resume criss-crossing on the third row. This trick even helped on Sway/Zoom that were already comfortable. Heel lock is so good I removed the 45° straps for ease of getting skates on/off and cleaner look.
I'm so close to pulling the trigger and getting the aeon Lomax shells I got 8 undercover 60mm wheels and my fit prime liners. I have the sway 58s rn all pimped out. U think I should cop them shells?
No I haven’t. I don’t even skate Aeons often anymore. The sole is always one of the weak points. I’ve used the wax-inline sole inserts and it helped a little bit I would say. Generally, I don’t like hardware modifications.
How's the sizing on these? I usually wear size 10.5us shoes and measure about 260-265 on the mondo scale. USD says the 8/9m should fit...that just sounds off...
I don’t know about those specifics. I would recommend maybe going 1 size down from your standard us shoe sizing. But best thing is try on someone else’s first, or buy from a place with a good return policy.
@@MR1337SKIassuming you've already got them, but to reiterate it's pretty normal. I use 11uk shoes and either 8uk or 9.5uk skates. You need your feet to be able to move when you walk, but for skating they can be bound tight with no movement 👊
