Another great one Don. Love the simplicity of your painting. Look forward to watching no matter how often you post. Really enjoy seeing you catch fish on your creations too. Good to know what works.
You should ask for color combinations suggestions, or types of lures to do or go through bass pro catalog and x out colors you've done or both. Really enjoy your videos. You've taught me a lot.
We've had the boat out a couple times but didn't do any filming. We may come back and do some filming later, but it has been a nice break to just fish and not have to worry about cameras and everything.
I've got a technical question for you...I seen you use rustoleum on a few lures..my question is? When I airbrush 3 lures after rustoleum chrome 2 of them when I was putting on the clear coat the airbrush paint pulled up off the rustoleum chrome...did I miss something????
I haven't had that problem with the Bob Smith 2 part epoxy top coat I use. I seem to remember using the rustoleum for something other then a lure and when covering with a spray clear sealer seeing some curl up of the paint where there must have been a reaction to mixing the two. Otherwise not sure why you had the problem.
@@OutdoorswithDonandBob ok thank you..also thanks for your videos...I've been using alot of your lure patterns...but I only have createx paints so I substituted your apple barrel for the closest I e got in createx...thanks Charley @ K.O.B.B (kranky ole bastard baits)
I've had that happen before and it was an easy fix. I use 1000 grit sandpaper and lightly sand the chrome before spraying the Createx. After shoot a couple light coats of Createx gloss topcoat or Pledge floor shine and allow the lure to dry atleast 24hrs before final topcoat.
Mix with Createx 4011 reducer or Pledge floor shine and they'll spray fairly easy. So far I haven't had any problems spraying the craft paints with a 3.5mm or 5mm needle.
@@OutdoorswithDonandBob hey brother u have a few lures I really like the paint schedule. Do you mind if I paint up some and maybe put a kill dot. Or ear flap .even a fin.. ifnyou rather me not I understand
@@jeffbyrd2803 I always felt any lure can be changed up some if that's what a guy wants. The idea has always been paint a lure you really want to take fishing.
