If you’re going to go through all of the process of washing, decon, maybe paint correction, and APP, you might as well just use a DIY coating at that point IMO

@@natebramlage55 I hear you, but I already have a DIY 8-year coating. I was thinking if I use APP after a decon wash, I wouldn't need to apply Ceramic Gloss as often.

Far from rookies, and the car looks spectacular

Kinda sounds like your "buddy" may be the rookie. 2 things to note. 1. They are applying the polish with a short throw sander due to its short throw and they are not trying to correct any defects. They already corrected the paint prior to this video. 2. It sounds like your "buddy" is trying to get a show car shine. 90% of people cannot see the difference from 80% to 100% defect removal. In doing that you also lose clear coat that cannot be replaced unless it is repainted. What your buddy was doing to compared to what these gentlemen are doing are 2 completely different things.

the APP doesn't to correct any defect, the goal is not reduce the clear coat, with the APP it's a adhesion promoter polish for the coating.The goal is preserve the clearcoat much we can.
