Tim Thompson it might not be popular but probably the most essential viewing of all your excellent videos. I hope you keep up the different aspects of using/handling chemicals
Good information Tim. Two different situations I can tell you about. I think my sons dog which had cancer in his mouth, I think because of Chemicals he used in his yard. Second while talking to my brother, a few years ago,we were talking about his new wife’s husband who had passed in 1999. I know he died from cancer and we were talking about all his Chemicals and sprayers this man used on his farm. So I told my brother, I think he might of gotten cancer from all those Chemicals he used on the farm. Kind of like the virus-19.
Worth mentioning to watch your drift as well. Your spray shouldn’t leave your boundary. Copped a face full of roundup from a careless operator the other day, some of these chemicals, like roundup have excellent drift and will even lift and redistribute during fog/mist events. Unless you want an irate neighbour in your face, keep your chemicals on your property.
I was with you until the end when you said we have to have chemicals because of low margins. Maybe we could focus our efforts on educating the consumer about safer food and in return our margins would grow too. Thanks for the videos.
This is really good again Tim. Thanks for the time and effort you put in. Always learning from your videos! Obviously not the school ag plot this time....
Yes, Yes and Yes! Fantastic Video Tim. So sad to see young farm workers pushed into spraying work with out any education about the dangers. When my "supervisor" told me I'd be fine I always geared right up. But I had the benefit of a chemical application cert, the foreign workers I was with where not so lucky :(
Thanks mate Just found your fencing videos today and went down a great rabbit hole I drive triple roadtrains across outback Queensland and learnt a better way to roll ropes I appreciate the effort you have put in to your videos Thanks
