Hey everyone! Today I am back in my Scrap Mechanic Raft Mod Survival playthrough and I'm excited to keep building the raft and making it better! In this episode I finally put the craftbot on the raft and ohhh boy is it heavy! I have always wanted to use glowbugs for propulsion so I figured I'd give that a try, and let's just say the results...varied xD. Make sure to check out the video and let me know what you think! About Scrap Mechanic:

Use canisters to mine early on. You literally have everything to make them: glow bugs for Glow; oil for, well, oil; and flowers for paint. Two big ones are usually enough to break apart a stone node, then finish processing it with your hammer/refbot.

It's an innovative setup, where 2 of the cylinders have double the power of the other 2 cylinders, similar to how PC processors/CPUs started having economy/efficiency cores and power/performance cores.

Instead of sitting the craft bot on the raft, which makes it part of the raft, see if dropping it onto the raft makes it not part of the calculation. Also, I think chat was talking more about the bubble block/wood block lattice, is because chunks get calculated as a single unit, but separated into chunks may make it lag lass. Remember in the co-op series where you and Kan made a pillar to the skybox? similar to that, it had to be separate to function properly. I hope it helps! It may actually improve the chances of being able to do glowbug powered vehicle.

I actually mentioned the lattice because it’s way more buoyant than two slabs on top of each other. Basically rather than combining the blocks into a lot of blocks with a shared buoyancy the game sees a bunch of blocks with their own buoyancy.

Glowbugs have another downside: You cannot place your raft on a lift anymore, or you lose your engine.

Whenever you want to go somewhere on the raft you could pick up your craft bot and then you will go faster. Sure it could be annoying but you will be able to move faster and without your hammer.

Kosmo, if you want to make life a bit easier there are parts in the Fant mod that allow you to move through the water quickly.

Hey Kosmo, maybe use outriggers for stability... they use a lot less materials than extending the whole raft and *should* have the same effect

What I think is to try to find a oil pond and set a bunch of collecting systems connected to at least 2 chests and grind for the materials to make thrusters

Hey Kosmo, love the video as always. If you want speed, glowbugs move vehicles based on the weight of the vehicle. It’s best to just use glowbugs to make something like a smaller boat out of bubble block for traveling. I sometimes just make a small bubble platform with a box in it and use it to drive around. You can steer by just placing the cardboard in different areas on the boat in front of the glowbugs. Also, I put all my glowbugs in one box. Usually 2-3 in a small bubble box in a small bubble block boat works quite well.

If you give it big wheels on bearings, you should be able to sail amphibious XD Also, if you give it a lot of thrusters after raiding all warehouses on your map, you should be able to kinda sailfly ^^

You should rotate the craftbot backwards and lay it flat. You'll have a crafting floor :D (And an even lower center of mass)

Hi, so u only need the mod installed to create your world, so once u've started u'r new save u can uninstall the mod and reload u'r water world and the water will be the same, now u can install other mods for paddles and propellers.

You can do a paddel boat with a gas engien or you can use a controler.

You can use suspension paddles faster than globugs but uses no power and use the controller bearings stack 3 for little extra ompf and use the metal pallets at the warehouses for the paddle part cheaper than making concrete3

I think you should just scrap the idea of hauling the craftbot around. Be like a viking and call your mechanic station home, use the glowbugs as rowers, and go forth and pillage. Also when you decide to install those mods you wanna maybe make a quick video of the process as a demonstration for players who might not be in the know.

You can use pistons for turning and to get metal 2 just go back to the crash shop harvest the embers take buckets of water and craft them into water and killing 3 hey bots will give you just enough metal for the 2 pistons

Check out ya boi Kan's sail boat. Episode 19 of his survival series, he made a pretty successful boat using glowb power. There were a few very key dimensions that made it work so well.
