Upon launching Kismet, all the data is streamed through the terminal with a link available to view the data in a browser page. Is there any way to configure Kismet to view the data as shown in the video rather than running a web browser to view it? Thank you for the great content!

My tablet was stolen from my truck, I got the suspiction that a mobile app with the capabilities of this tool was used to detect the wireless/bt signal from the device. Can this work on discovering random devices without connection to a network like in the middle of a parking lot? Got stuck on this as well. If you go to the menu bar (by pressing tilda ( ~ ), Sort -> then choose anything but "Auto-fit". Then you should be able to select them.

It's possible in one case if the person is nearby your home wireless area or he is connected to it if that possible. But it's not possible otherwise because it needs to feed the Mac address the physical address cannot be optained unless the device is connected physically to the internal network.

If it's a gmail or yahoo then make a email with reflection script embedded in a file and send to the victim's mail.After the mail victim open the mail you'll get the public ip and port address... Then you can use conventional ip tracing methods
Typically you would analyze the email headers and pull the sender's address from the headers. But If it was sent through a big email provider like Gmail, the email server will acts as a proxy between the sender, the email provider, and the recipient. If they sent the email from an SMTP server that they owned it would be a different story. That's one of the big upsides to using a mail provider over setting up a corporate mail server or some shit.
open the email within your web browser. Click the drop down arrow (more) next to the reply button and choose "Show Original". Copy the entire block of text and paste it into a Header Analyzer. It will give you some very interesting information. This technique often doesn't yield too much info as everyone uses gmail. But one day it could come in handy

set the target to graphical by typing [ # systemctl set-target graphical.target then # systemctl isolate graphical.target ] if this doesn't work then during installation u would have skipped the GUI installation
