I currently use O rings. I would put 2 of them on a senko in a way where they both cross each other forming an X. Then I hook between the X and the hook so that my hook is perpendicular to the senko.
Thanks for the video, I've been using these for 1 year now and never realized there was a compartment in the pliers to store the rings!!! And I have been able to catch several fish on one yamamoto instead of running though a whole pack.
Crossover rings are the best invention since sliced bread. The ability to fish wacky rigs with the hook perpendicular to the bait is the best way to fish a wacky from a hookup ratio.
You can do the same thing with o-rings. Just use 2, cross them, and put the hook under where they cross. Your hook will be propensity to the worm. O-rings are 100 for only $3 on Temu 🙂
The only trouble I find with O rings is the senkos getting torn easily so you go through them pretty quick, to the point where I carry 2 or 3 bags of my favorite colors. The width of the VMC rings should cut down on that substantially. the worst part of O rings is when the applicator screw comes loose and you got O rings scattered throughout your boat or kayak. 😉
Best bet would be checking online like Tacklewarehouse or Tackle Direct or Land Big Fish. They are a great rod and the demand has been pretty substantial on them. Keep digging and hopefully you will be able to get your hands on one soon!
