your video cares about an essential flaw of logic pro and essential issue for every composer who want to work on the limits of what it is offered. But i also didn’t expect that finally i can set midi channel in and out in track. It was there like nothing but now i see a huge steps. For the first time i can enter notes directly on channel 2 in score and then back to 1, or 3 and so on, using the keyboard. What a technology lol

I couldn't believe it took so long. I think they were seeing multi keyboards and channelization as a bigger user case on the live playing side so Mainstage had it but not Logic. I guess they finally realized, it's a basic use of anyone and poeple actually use Logic for live use. My dayjob is doing audio/MIDI setups for live and recording users so I have seen Logic used as the main playback and MIDI rig live, many times.

@@tsho08 exactly. But even in production, composing, is crucial. I have a hard time selecting channels on my keyboard, and would wich a nunpad where i can not only select it before the note is entered, recorded, but also the possibility to easier select two channels togheter, or two groups, without they excluding each other and without having to click and select, for i can do this while playing. The solution for this is a complicated midi programming of solo and mite buttons or creating a huge template where the combinations of arrangement are already set. But for any case it looks like you either have easy arrangement or easy sheet music in Logic Pro yet, when speaking about symphony and polyphonic music. Now i see so e possibilities with the stream deck , where it is reseaonable to set like 16 groups and 16 channels without looking insane to remember what is what

@@emanuel_soundtrack Luckily Logic Pro X (10.7) gave us the ability to pick our ports and channels, so they are trying to make things better. I'm not sure if you seen my newer video when they released that option soon after this video.

They took away the option to split midi to separate tracks in latest update. How does it work now to record to different track based on midi channel?

this is interesting. I just looked at my latet version and the option to do it by channel isn't there. Maybe it got moved or maybe there is a better way? I'll look into this.
