That is a tool that was used many years ago to roll the seams when wallpapering. The seams were always a problem if you didn’t roll them well. I had one back in the day as I did a lot of wallpapering.

Now I know what I'm going to do with my paper napkins. This is beautiful. For some reason I thought you were talking about handkerchiefs at first. And that would be really cool as well to glue onto an envelope. Thanks for the inspiration. I have some brayers, but they are wider than the one you have. I use them to get out air bubbles as well. And I use them to roll paint on a gelli plate.

I have a wooden roller quite like the one you used. Back in the 1980’s-90’s, I used it to smooth and adhere the edges of wallpaper and wallpaper borders. I had wallpaper in many rooms. It was beautiful. Why don’t we use wallpaper anymore? I had the most gorgeous red plaid in my front hall. I stenciled beautiful borders in other rooms. It was all the rage. You could learn how to stencil in stores that sold stencils. I remember a store that had a large selection of stencils on the walls, so I could be inspired to buy that stencil. Those were the days!
