I have a Kishi and the app already. I have yet to get my PS5 on the 22nd of this month, and I got worried my setup might not work since I came from a PS4 Pro. Thank you for this! It just reassured me that I'm still good with the app and with the controller! :)

Oh my God, YES! Thank you so much. I was this close to wasting money on a new controller. I used my Flydigi Wee 2t for Android games and thought maybe I'll give remote play a try. Yeah it didn't work. Stumbled across this video while researching the Gamesir Pro (does not work for zfold users due to the USB c being on the right). This app works perfectly for me. I'm a trucker so now I can play during my resets. I'm so pumped to go to work. Now I need something to help play games pass and GeForce now.

Most controllers we’ve tried have works for Game Pass as well. Not sure about GeForce Now. We haven’t tried the Flydigi yet so I can’t confirm it.

Great video. I just got the Kishi and have not tried remote play yet. I do find it a bit ridiculous that you even have to do this though. Its works great with Gamepass but Playstation wont allow a third party controller? Yet they offer on screen controls.

I’m not sure why it’s not allowed either, it might not be specifically a PlayStation thing though since the official PlayStation app DOES allow third party controllers on iPhones. Although, We are thankful that the developer took the time to create this app so android users have the ability to play with the kishi as well now.

This was for the app and also before mobile data was able to be used for ps remote play. So it's nice that feature has been added.

@@CompleteGeekTV I just set it up yesterday. It works great. The port forwarding was a bit of a pain but it works wonders. I just find it stupid on Sony's behalf that it must be done this way. Xbox game streaming doesnt care which controller you use.

1 Question: Does this app support PS plus games stream? Because the original PS remote play app doesn't support streaming games directly from the PS+ subscription, only pre installed games.

Dunno if its just me, but in using the app, it's kind of a lower res stream of the PS to the mobile device, even while on the same 5GHZ local network with the PS5. Sooo, nah. I just pair my PS5 controller to my mobile device via Bluetooth and play. I have asked for a refund of the payment from the Google store.

It is indeed a great app and great video. Wanting I would make clear when you want to play on your local network it's absolutely fine but I've tried everything to try to make it work remotely and it fails unfortunately. It goes through an entire router setup that's just too complicated for an average person to be able to figure out

Kishi works perfectly fine with PlayStation! I’ve tested both the android and iPhone version now with no problems. The Kishi is just Xbox branded so that Microsoft gets recognition for it.

The one we are using in this video is the razer kishi for android! We have reviewed all thre of these and they are all great and pretty similar to each other!

This isn't supported by remote play. However you can connect a real controller to your Playstation while using PSPlay by connecting the controller to either a second account or a guest account :)

How do you get the gamesir controls to work? I have a galaxy s22 ultra but the buttons wouldn't work when I connected to the app and turned the ps5 on

If for some reason the buttons aren't working, we recommend trying button mapping in the menu of the PS play app to see if that resolves the issue. Be sure you are using a USB-OTG cable and that USB-OTG is enabled on your device (on some devices it is disabled by default)

We actually plan to make one specifically for how to get it working so you can play your ps4 or ps5 anywhere. This app works for both PS4 and PS5 and as far as I know the port forwarding to make it work while connected to a different WiFi works with both systems as well. hi there do you know if i can play using my ps5 controller connected to my console, as always, and not connected by bluetooth to my phone while i use the apk? i know this is weird but i asked it because i want to play any game while my girlfriend watch the game from her phone, obviously using the ps play apk, the default app from PS doesn't let me do this so, i would like to know that before purchasing this apk, beacuse i really really want it

I do believe that should work just fine. Basically you would just be using the phone as video streamer at that point. In theory that should actually be more responsive as well.

No this app is currently only on android. Unless something has recently changed, last time we tested it the backbone, Kishi and Gamesir x2 all worked just fine with the official remote play app on iOS. It is only android that doesn’t allow the 3rd party controllers to work with the official PlayStation app.

This message is just telling you that there is an official Android 11 bug which makes it impossible to use any controller correctly in PSPlay. It has nothing to do with the connection process to the PS4. It's not even a bug of PSPlay, just a general Android 11 bug but not all devices are affected by this. So if your controller works fine you are fine

I can't use either of my dualshock controllers from my ps4 or ps5 . I was able to play using my ps4 controller but about a month ago it just stop working all together. Any suggestions would be appreciated to get it to work again

Two questions: 1) Does the app use internet data for streaming on the same network, or it just uses wifi bandwidth? 2) Is it mandatory to have the PS5 running on ethernet connection? Does it work with wireless?

1) As long as your Playstation and your device are in the same network and can reach it other it will work. No actual internet connection is needed (only when you open PSPlay for the first time) 2) No it's not mandatory

This app is only on Android at the moment. In all of our tests third party remotes did not work with the official Sony app on android at all! Jordan does have an iPhone and is working on a review for the Backbone which is similar to the Kishi for iphone. He can confirm that at least that does indeed work on iPhone so it would make sense that the new kishi for iOS does as well.

Reading back on this I think our message could have been worded better and not sure if it may have added confusion. We understand that the Kishi for iphone works with the regular app but that the android one doesn't. So this app makes that possible and other third party controllers on top of features the regular app doesn't offer. And that app is only available for Android currently. On iOS/iPhone, you should be able to play the iPhone model of Kishi just fine with PS remote play. Compatible controllers work with the official remote play software. On Android, PS Play only supporters DualShock currently. We hope this helps and thanks for watching

You need to setup port forwarding through your router to be able to play in other locations. We've debated showing this many times but we don't think it will be helpful because no one's setup will be the same. Each router and each network will be a different process so this is why we ended up not doing a video at this time. Maybe in the future if we think if would actually be useful.

At least at first. There is a way to set up port forwarding in order to use it on a cellular network and then connect from anywhere. We mention it in the video but chose not to actually show it since port forwarding is a very different process depending on which brand router and internet provider you have so is showing it on our end might not be the same set up you would need at your house. The only thing you can really do to use it away from a wifi location is through port-forwarding with your router. It's not an easy process and results can be very.

To clarify, yes I believe you can use cellular data you would just need to set up port forwarding first with your personally router to enable that. That process can be very different depending on which brand router and internet provider you have.

Most 3rd party controllers already work with iOS version of the official PlayStation Remote Play app (who knows why). This app is mainly to add that feature for android devices but from what we have heard the developer is working on an iOS version of the app.

The procedure bringing it on the store was hell and I almost gave up but at least it's now accessible for everyone. Best part is that tvOS is supported as well (the official app doesn't work on tvOS devices)

We’ve been using it for awhile and have had no issues. Neither has any other users we’ve talked to. Also after making this video the app developer reached out and we have had some talks with him and he is very dedicated to making the app safe and work consistently. So far for Android devices it think it actually works better than the official PlayStation app

Hi, I don't know why RU-vid is always deleting my answer but I try again. This is a Sony login website problem so the error doesn't occur within PSPlay. You can use PSPlay without performing a PSN login, just click the "Alternatives" link in the popup when you click on "Register" for more information.

Hi, I'm the dev. Yes the app is safe, if you are worried about the PSN login I understand. Unfortunately it is required by the PlayStation in order to get your account id for the registration. There is a workaround though but it comes with some limitations but you can try that. There is also an active community on the PSPlay subreddit so feel free to ask questions there :)

In order for it to work with cellphone service it has to be set up with port forwarding. There should be an some instruction in the app on how to do this but it can be very complication and is a slightly different process for each type of router or WiFi service. Because of this we didn’t include that tutorial in the video because explaining how to do it for all the different brands of router and internet providers would have made the video 20hrs long. Once that is set up though you should be able to use cell service to connect to the ps5 or PS4 anywhere.

You won't need this app when you use ps remote app. It just does not use anything but ps backbone and ps controller 5 and 4 for that app. I used a ps4 controller on my pc just fine should work on tablets and phones too I had a thing that held the controller to the phone and it worked.

The PS4 needs to be on or in rest mode. If it's in rest mode it will turn it on. You will basically take control of the PS4 or PS5 from you phone or device using the app. Also, results work best if you're playing around your location with your router. If you're trying to play in another location it is possible through port forwarding but that is a very involved process and results may vary

Yes it works through usb! It doesn't have all the dual sense features like haptic triggers but it does work

Hi, it also works via Bluetooth but then not all features are supported. All buttons except for touchpad gestures should work though. If you enable native USB gamepad mode and connect the controller via USB features like vibration, gyroscope and touchpad gestures will also work. :)
