I started to learn Flutter 2 days ago. I've started by watching easy tutorials showing the basic widgets available and I am loving it. I cannot wait to learn more about it.
that's a great tool, I can't wait that they improve importing SVG assets from Illustrator because it 100 times easier to create them there than directly in Rive
Thanks for Open Sourcing the runtime, Last year i had hoped that flare runtime could be open source, but never asked in community but now it is, congratulations to rive team for future.
Can you use RIVE to dynamically animate a character speaking? For example, how would you apply a mouth transformation depending on the phoneme being spoken? Or if that doesn't work, how would you achieve this in RIVE to drive a real-time animation of a character talking where what they are saying is dynamically generated?
I'm not a Rive user, (yet) but it seems to me that dynamically-generated speech would need to be accompanied by a series of phoneme-code/timestamp pairs. To do this, one would need a dictionary of all usable alongside phonetic representations of each syllable. These pairs would then be used to signal animation tweens in Rive, much in the way that Flutter does. Happy to discuss, though RU-vid fails to provide notifications of replies to comments, so... I'll try.
I think their product is powerful yet their marketing is limited to a certain customer group they should've used another powerful example that might appeal to a bigger audience.
It wouldnt make any sense though, since flutter does the rendering on its own. If you fall back in parts of the screen to default components as you suggest it would break the logic of the whole idea. I am pretty optimistic flutter will beat React Native. Performance wise it already does, RN still has the bigger community but I think that will change. There are just more possibilities with Flutter than with React Native.
Rive is clunky to use for designers. Everything takes way more time than any regular animation app. Looks good, but needs a lot of improvement to be actually used in a production environment.
What is this??? why this is happening??? i just upgraded my flutter according to the message in terminal and after that i get these errors, please help me, and the emulator is not also working i downloaded it by android studio in a path in Drive D: ( not in system files i mean) and it even doesn't recognize my virtual device so i have to use my mobile.......I'm currently using Visual Studio Code..... I would suggest looking to see if you have multiple files (newest version of Gradle) of the same type and deleting one which seemed to work for me in Android studio. Took me a week to figure it out but that was the case. *Edit* : Didn't name the file before but it was a Gradle file. And it would be in system files
Check your net connection, Try running the app by flutter run -v to know where it exactly is giving error Also if you are on windows try disabling your firewall
