I'm not running hard enduro but regular enduros and sprints. I have been struggling with hydration and fatigue, usually within the first 2 tests . Once I get thru these after being wiped out I seem to start to feel better and get going. Unfortunately I shit the bed during those test. I'm implementing your hydration technique this weekend . I'm definitely going to work on the carbs and protein as well. Rattlesnake national enduro coming up soon fingers 🤞. Thanks for making these vidz!
After doing 80% carnavore diet, i lear'nt the hard way that one needs to carb load leading up to a ride. Each ride im noticing lower energy levels and severe cramping in the legs (thigh's) towards the end of the ride and then debilitating cramps later once at home. Last weekend was the worse, eating mainly meat the night before and nothing but a coffee the morrning of the ride I had severe cramping in both legs during the ride for the first time which had me on the ground in agony in the Thailand jungle. Note, until recently i've never ever had cramps. The cramps continued at home and if you've had these cramps there's little you can do except get salted water in you. Anyway the lesson has been lear'nt, your muscles need glycogen when your riding in the hot humid Thailand jungle for 6 hours CARB UP! Good video's, thanks you.
Glad i found this video. I already understand most of the nutrition stuff but continuos research from multiple sources futhers my understanding. Definitely going to try to implement a lot of these tips in the future. My biggest weaknesses in races are cramping and tiredness. I know training it a big portion of it but nutrition also plays a massive role.
Good stuff @masterbeta343. You might find this system helpful with the cramping and tiredness as well: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YQWKSoQY6Bg.html
@@AndrewHammer1 Definitely the type of nutrition used during the laps. When I get to the pits I usually just have a few sips of coke cola and then ride off again but I find I have extreme cramping and can't stay on the bike. I started forcing myself to eat fast digestible carbs and Definitely felt improvement
