Ha ha ha ha gotta go check out my worm. Love the close-up of the active target on the screen it’s just good when you’re explaining the sinker falling and the worm being able to be reset for another fall video. Looking forward for the sinkers to get on the market.

Another idea is do the reverse and use something like Zman that floats, so it stays suspended yet free floating.

Thanx for bringing this one forward. This is another Japanese rig known as the Free Shot Rig, a hybrid Free Rig / Dropshot combination and was introduced by a Japanese angler, Genki Fujita, a.k.a. GENKIMAN, back around 2014. It was first created to catch grouper and was scaled down to catch bass. Angler Waki has a vid on it as well. Thanx for sharing this because no matter where it came from or when it was created, it's not known much here and coming from a reputable bass angler like yourself, it's more likely to be accepted.

That is so dope thinking outside of the box. It's really cool that you would share this. I see this as a really good platform for a lot of baits.

I’ve tried this rig about two years ago and there’s a downside to this compared to the normal drop shot rig. The bobber stoppers WILL go up and down. Whether you catch a fish, get stuck on some grass, or just set the hook, they will move. This was my main issue with this set up. It felt like every cast I was just messing with this rig just to get it in the right position again.

Me and my buddy have been fishing this setup for a few years now. Works well when fish are suspended in the middle of the water column.

I like the versatility of that rig! My only concerned would be trying to set the hook on the hook since it is free moving. Do you reel until you feel the dropshot weight ? Thanks for the video, I just subscribed to your Channel.

I like this option better than the free rig especially in deeper water. Great option in these colder months when the bass move deep.

I HATE the drop shot..,. I just cant figure it out :(. This might be a better alternative for me.

I dig this rig bro! When you mentioned putting the bobber-stop up higher on the line for suspended fish my first thought was how are you going to manage that if the fish are 15 feet or so off the bottom in deep water. So instead of the bobber-stop on top, a simple bloodknot would work to stop the hook/bait at that point and would be easier to deal with because you can reel the knot onto your spool. Great concept but you really need to be patient and not set the hook too fast. Might snap the line with that force. Definitely going to try this out. And can’t wait for the football head weights. Great design👍🏼

I wonder how far up the line that top bobber stop can be and still get a good hook set? You’d think they’d spit the bait out if you had to reel the weight up too much.

Very cool rig that looks like it should work as shown even here in New England (thinking about smallmouths holding on deep weeds and rock piles :). I also wonder about sliding the bottom bobber stop up the line above the weight to give different suspend depths when using sinking baits or might that introduce possible hook set issue.

I can't wait to try out the wacky in 20'+ of water with this technique! Great tutorial and real application! Much appreciated.
