Hi Bro.. can you share engine options available with automatic gearbox in ford figo. Also mention the period of time launched with 4cyl engine with automatic gearbox
Thank you very much for this review from deep loved ford fan. Past 16 years we have bought only ford cars, started with Ikon 1.6, Ikon 1.3 flair, Fiesta 1.4 TDCi and currently using Figo Aspire 1.5 TDCi. The driving dynamics can't be explained in words, have to feel it. You can never experience in any other cars. Even though old ikon & Fiesta gave tough time in servicing, but we never get disappointed. Every time back on road it gives big smile on your face. I smoked many big cars (can't name it) on Bangalore highway with Aspire 1.5 TDCi, its gem of handling. Braking (OMG!) gives superb confidence. Its shame they have left India. Since I'm in abroad, whenever possible I've experience the European models Fiesta, Puma, Kuga and even Transit Tour models. I always felt Ford is main reason for many others manufacturers in India to focus on driving dynamics in affordable segment. Ford brought the car enthusiast inside me. Think now in India it created huge demand for ford used cars, But its too late!!!
Please correct the mistake 1.2 dragon 3 cyl launched in figo after freestyle launch in India. And starting from 2015 it had 3 engine option 1.2 4cyl NA petrol , 1.5 NA petrol and 1.5 4cyl diesel and I am sure about this because I am using 1.2 4cyl petrol ti vct from 2016
Exactly 1.2 dragon is the most quiet n refined while it was on sale. No vibes inside, not in gear lever or in steering. Could easily cruise at 120-140 ish.
3 cylinder Dragon of Figo is a good... engine. Don't talk what ever comes out of mouth. I have been using it since 2019. No vibration in side cabin. Mostly suited for highway, in city it's a bit over reacts...u will have to press clutch mostly...
Exactly...1.2 dragon is a refined and more power ful than its competitor. Adichu udrainga otna mari...1st n 2nd are short geared....hence it jumps like crazy in traffic. Could easily cruise at120-140 ish
I own a 2021 aspire with 1.2 dragon- clocked 11k kms. On paper it has 96 ps and 119 nm of torque which is segment leading in 1.2 NA engines. Yes vibrations are there in idle ,i agree but when u drive it, u will feel the smoothness and adore the way it drives. The steering feedback, robust quality, 6 airbags, makes us to accept those vibes. Mileage is low in city but i achieved upto 19kmpl in highway. This engine has a very good intake note on the top end. The maintainance is really very low as compared to other brands honestly. I just love my car and the dream of owning a ford in my life is accomplished. No cars now can give the feeling and confidence of these lost gems.
That's very true..i own 1.2 freestyle. It's a clear handler and decent performer than other NA cars in segment.. and mileage I ve got around 19 in highway with 80 to 90 speeds.
The Ford Nostalgia… Not able to find an alternative for my 1.5 TDCi in the current market ! Happily married for 8 years with my Aspire !! Missing my in-laws however !!!
Ford is an emotion. Owners knew it. Had 1.5 tdci global fiesta, 1.5tdci freestyle and now 1.4 tdci fiesta,. Best in driving dynamics , very fuel efficient, solid build, nominal maintenance cost. Never go to other brand Once own ford
Ford Servicing: The best part of any ford car that came after 2013. Even today 1.7 years post their exit..you can get grade 1 service from most of their dealerships..they have this family like commitment and still they do get it done like 70-85% when compared to Ford's presence in India. Service cost is still lower than Maruti or any other manufacturers. Service price promise is still existent. Average service for Figo D is 4000-4500/- per year/10k kms. Also you can avail flexi service plan for any of their cars like pay 12000 for 3 years of maintanence which is ridiculously good..all this comes from a company that ended production..also they do have campaigns once or twice a year giving discounts to Spare and labour! What else you need?
Bro I am a fan of your videos, but never expected an unrealistic comment from your channel (i am not biased), being a 1.2 dragon freestyle owner, Yes there is vibration in idling but not creeping in the steering or anywhere at the same time not as silent as 1.2 - 4 cylinder engines. The power delivery is very linear if we keep the RPM above 1200 RPM ( if needle dropped to 800 u will feel the 3 cylinder nature). The sound of engine when u throttle more is racy in nature (quoted in many automotive reviews including autocar, tamil motowagon). Best 1.2 petrol for driver oriented car next to volkswagen polo. Your views are totally opposite to many auto enthusiasts review and mine too. 😢

The host is an immature person ,he is fit for only dabba cars like dabba swift ,ford is the first car and a good car iam using ford figo past 12 years . Hi ost better do some massala content . Silly interview
Don't laugh too much .. seems you don't know nothing about the Ford .. there build quality of these cars are top notch .. you cant see any better cars in this price segments .. there are many Ford lovers you are totally insulting them.. such a irritating video about Ford cars ever . Saw footage from tdci on thrust youtuber that was good in this video other than that totally irritating laugh and comments..

I own Ford Freestyle 2020 BS6 1.5 TDCI Titanium plus ..Best in class. My longest drive 850 KM in 16 hrs . No tiredness at all. Driving Dynamics and fuel efficiency at it best with great safety features. Ford shouldnt have gone. They didnt know how to market their cars. Appreciate your casual conversations. Post more such videos..
Hi guys, glad you spoke about Ford. I own a 1.5 TDCI Ecosport & 1.2 Dragon Aspire I love the frugal performance of the diesel & to my surprise 1.2 performance well in highways too. Yes there is an initial 3 cylinder vibe but once you pick speed it actually performs like a refined diesel. Both very pocket friendly for maintaining and I don't regret for flimsy features like LED lighting, Sunroof & Wireless charging etc... Happy to own Ford!
Bro...i have been following for a long time....but this is the first time I am disappointed with your statements!!!... The 1.2 dragon series 96 ps was segment leading... ..and the vibration is minimal at idle.....it does 100 at no time ...quick enough for a NA petrol ....and at higher rpms the exhaust note is pure soothing to ears!!! ..it pulls like mad after 3000 rpms ...please research more before stating 1.2 as a normal petrol engine....i too own one & clocked 20k kms....🙏
@@arunravi3805 yes bro....i still find people criticising 1.2 dragon petrol as sluggish..just because it doesn't have turbo....they really don't know the full potential of the engine......or they're just going with the paid fake reviewers on RU-vid!!!
Just enjoyed the conversation Dani. Proud owner of Ford Figo manual 1.5 TDCI. Semma accuracy. Chennai to Gokarna with 3 ppl in 11 hrs. Pazhani to Chennai in 6.5 hrs with 4 ppl, topped the speed of 165kmph. With 84k Kms around, happy owner. Sad seeing Ford gone out of India.
I have a Figo petrol... excellent car...great driving dynamics...good for highway cruise...good thing is you won't get tired even after driving for a whole day
I have figo 1.5 tdci ... No negatives with the car as such... But when you go for service they treat you badly after Ford's exit... before that it was good.. esp h...s Ford ... If you can put up with them you can consider buying
I'm buying a 2016 Ford Figo 1.5 Ti-VCT-AT Titanium which has 4cylinder and DCT, this morning and your video is very informative. Il confidentiality but now. The car is used by a doctor and it is in mint condition with 44k kms.
@revnitro I 2016 they didn't launch the figo with dragon series 95hp engine. It was changed to it at mid of 2020. 2016 to 2020 petrol engine was very laggy and full of complaints. The dragon series engine didn't have any complaints. It is a petrol pocket rocket. Would be great if you could mention it clearly in the pinned comment or description.
Very nice review in your own style of casual way. You outperformed to explain TDCI as a punchy engine in Tamil as "பொதுவா டீசல் நா எதுக்கு டா என்ன கூட்டிட்டு போறீங்க னு சொல்லாம இதோ வந்துட்டேன் இதோ வந்துட்டேன் னு சொல்ற என்ஜின்"
Proud owner of 2nd gen 2015 Tdci. Never spend more than 6k in service. From day one only two issues (1) short 1,2 and 3 gear ratio (2) tyre was 14". Can easily accommodate a 6 footer. Steering.. No words.
Sumaal boys.... I own ford freestyle petrol engine titanium plus since 2020. Very mild vibrations will be there at idle condition, but running la semma smooth... And pickup la neenga solra alavukku onnum mosam illa very decent pickup with wonderful dynamics... Vandi otta otta salikala innum...
❤️Bro lovely video. mostly about that 1.5 TDCi awesome content . To add on you could have mentioned about the SYNC system of it and actually there is a correction . D-4D of Toyota was 1.4L used in etios / corolla etc.... check the same
Hi i am using ford freestyle tdci for last 4 years.. The experience is awesome.. Especially in highway it will rock... Milege is awesome even though i cruise in 120 . Milege is 20km)/h
Can anyone please suggest a best workshop for figo 1.5 tdci diesel in chennai should be working mechanical and electricsl work at the same place and also cost effective pls suggest
2015- 2018 figo aspire it was four cylinder 94ps, 1.2 ti- vct. Please do your analysis properly before putting videos. Dont blabber what ever comes in your mind.. Tjia is totally usless video
Used Ford aspire tdci ⛽ Running 3lack km reached. Timings chain change 1time Front suspension replacement 1time Worth for money 💯, Bild quality and performance,,, Wheel pareing only 1change ..
Bro I own Figo 1.2 Petrol, 2019 model Highway average is around 17Kmpl but City la you will not get 13 itself thats the main drawback, need to fuel every time. Other wise it's a very robust machine.
Honestly there're no perfect diesel cars in india right now only M&M and tata competing each others, the rest all out of the league. Only ford has better built quality with competent diesel engine. Vw can fill that place with their TDi. Still I believe ford was strategically eliminated by competitors by bribing their top M's.
I have aspire 1.5TDCI... indha segment la best drivers car ithu thaa... Naama indha engine la enna ethir pathalum athu kodukkum... Performance venuma indha pidi nu effort less 140 kmph 🔥 Efficiency venuma pure highway 30 to 35 kmpl 🔥 City 20 to 24 kmpl 🔥 It's a TRANSFORMER MACHINE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Yes..1st gen Figo had a minor facelift at 2013 end..from then the injectors were changed to Bosch. Also ford kinda planned to use 1.5 in the first gen..it would have been great..but didn't happen
Nice observation friends, i do own a pre owned Figo 2016 bs4 tdci ..i must say it's a gem of an engine..and the car handles speeds like 170-180 effortlessly...once a friend of mine had traveled with me from Ooty to Chennai..while doing the highway duties between coimbatore and erode, the car was actually doing 180 flat and until I told her she never felt the speed! She was surprised when she saw the speedometer:) though i agree with your observations..a few points from an owner perspective: 1) the diesel is noisy and vibrations are felt ..also you can see a lot of smoke similar to DCL.. 2) the build quality and reliability of the body is somewhere between ford and maruti.. definitely not very good..and rattles are quite common..also the dynamics are a little poorer than the 1st gen..tho the 1.5 tdci blows 1.4 into dust. 3) mileage numbers are CITY: 15-16 with slightly spirited driving and with sedate/light foot drive you will get 16-19 max.. HIGHWAYS: with speeds like 120-130 you can get 22 max not beyond that..and mileage is superb when doing 80-100 like 25-30.
Also..fun fact is that..in my trip to Ooty i over took almost Every car on the highway which includes few BMW's as well as other Germans and volvos as well..no one could compete with this car since..the power is so obnoxious and the relative size of the car is small so it could do cuts and overtakes easier than bigger cars ..this is a very unique car man! Also that entire trip i got an efficiency of 16 kmpl only..due to very aggressive driving like consistent 160+
I own a ford aspire tdci diesel.. semma pick up , drivable , ride and comfort handling ..vera level ku mela irukka level .. precise steering feel and feed back and also gear sleek shifting short throw.. clutch konjam hard thaan .. but throttle kuduthaa parakkum ..mileage city 18-19 but highway la 22-23 even at above 100 kmph .. Maintanence cheap thaan ... Really a diesel rocket ..🎉
I also bought ford figo sports edition titaniam diesel hatchback veral level. City we getting 22 in high way above 25. Corner turning driving is so fantastic. Accelerating is so good specially in over taking drive the engine not struggle. Really we enjoying while we drive. I love ford. போர்டு னாலே ஒரு கெத்து தான்.
Owning a “ford Freestyle” 2019 model with TDCI 1.5L Diesel - Twin dragon engine🔥, best in class with the performance, built quality, mileage & comfort. An all rounder companion ⚡️ vachirukavanuku tha therium puriyum !…❤️🔥💎
For Aspire was launched on August 14, 2015. I booked a 1.5 Diesel (Mid Variant) within 2 months. However, could take delivery of it only in Jan-2016 due to the Chennai floods. It has done 90K kms til day, still it remains a fun to drive car with excellent handling.
Watched this video in 2023 before i got my license, got my first car Aspire blu tdci 5 months back and have experienced all this with 5k km driven so far. Perfect description for the car 22:33
Plan to buy Aspire 1,20,000km run engine. How much can I pay, what will be the maintenance cost for 1year...i am planning to buy for daily usage and occasion long ride
Hi bros... Really a Well mannered review.. i personally own 2019 Aspire TDCI. Completed 92k.. it's really a fundrive and driver enthusiastic car. Low in service cost 3.5k/ service. 22kmpl avg km. Very classy and smooth riding even in off-road and breakable roads than freestyle as well as other segment cars.. to be honest I clocked 180+ kms many times and never felt any vibration or handling issue.. i felt safe and comfortable. I wish to drive atleast 2 lakh kms.. i love my aspire

Hello ,1.2L NA freestyle is comparatively good and compare to tiago, other 3cyl engines Freestyle Petrol verison doesn't vibrate more.. it is very minimal we can feel when car in idle state.. the only thing is low end performance is linear not LOW.. but mid range is above avg. One can easily push to 120. Dont tell without knowing 1.2L NA engine , The car steering feedback and braking performance are definitely above than swift,i20, altroz... If you like 1.5tdci then you guys can speak alone... This is misleading fact.. I never felt vibrations like you said in freestyle.. It is a very good car to drive in highways and engine is smooth...
S bro...i have never faced vibes even at idle...these guys speaking without full knowledge of the car..i own a Ford Figo petrol for the past 5 years...no vibes at all...even pushed to 140 kmph
I am in tirupur. I purchased one used car say Ford FIGO 1916 model TDCI 150 engine. But I faced only one problem till now. Otherwise no chance very very good performance speed and engine capacity and all. I am very much like this car in all features. It is true the head lamp seems to outdated. Already said one problem is that sensor point. Especially the current pass- battery to engine power censor. But now the car run 135000 km completed. Mileage 27 in long travel without A/C and speed limit 80 km. But normally it gives 25 km. No smoke.thank you
I'm having Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCI sxi 2010 model it clocks 116000 km ultimate engine still it's clocks 180km speed per hour Ultimate handling, steering feed back,etc... It's My most fav brand
Thank you for the more tech oriented discussion. I have a query. Need your suggestion. I love the drivability of a diesel engine (the lower end torque). But I own a 2019 Aspire petrol. If I keep the rev range above 3000RPM it performs to a level. But I would like to have the lower end torque in my car, just like a diesel motor. The already available torque of 113Nm to a lower 1700-2000 RPM. 1. IS IT POSSIBLE TO ACHIEVE THIS THRU ECU MAPPING? 2. IS IT ADVISABLE TO DO THAT? 3. What would be disadvantages? Like excess heat, engine damage, mileage drop (I'm already getting 11.5kmpl only) 4. I'm in Chennai, suggest me a place to do this change. Awaiting your response.
I bought a Figo for 3.5 lakhs recently 2016 model 1.2lakh completed but completely show room service.... Really good condition and I'm really happy that I chose this car.... Never regretted so far but one thing u have to look for is if they have done any wiring work previously.... If yes na please don't buy it if not na please go for it
Proud owner of Ford figo Aspire S sports edition diesel completed 50k kms🥰🥰The best compact sedan for family and car enthusiasts.. 💎driving dynamics - Gem💎 ... Ground clearance should have been better...
