I have never seen Smug miss that many hit confirms and combos ever. I feel like the coach advising Smug was making Smug play too scared and too cautious but the match so so hype and intense it was still incredible to see.
I don't mind Kazunoko's Yun because he sticks with him through thick and thin., whereas most Yun players drop him the second he gets nerfed. Snug got outplayed plain and simple
+Xavier Vega All smug needed to do was take his time. Kazunoko was too scared to try and block a mixup constantly backdashing and DPing every knockdown. Its very easy to blow that stuff up but you have to take your time. Kazunoko in my mind really alternated two escape options and it worked out for him. Not taking from his skill but I think saying he outplayed smug is a bit much.
Whos that sitting next to Smug? I expected Sabin to be there, either ways you cannot coach someone playing against Kazunoko because he mix everything up all the time, for example, if you play against Daigo notice that on his first take down he goes immediately for a throw. You can coach against certain opponents but definitely not Kaz.
I agree with most people, I think the coaching whether good or bad, we don't know, can be detrimental to a match cause you're trying to adjust short term and it'll just throw u off and the subsiquent ass beating will destroy your confidence and just make you bumble and drop combos like we saw. I think smug did a damn good job being smug, maybe he should trust in himself more and he'll really shine. He's young and has insane potential, I hope he stays with it and doesn't get discouraged.
Afaik it deals exactly 1hp damage when most characters have 1000hp total. I think they hard coded it was well so that it can't kill. The main advantage it offers to Dudley players afaik (in USF4 and 3S) is just that it causes hit stun/blockstun so you can extend pressure or swag combo
@@monkeyspank3005 "fireball" in the sense that it's a projectile. But it's not overly useful outside of 3S. Hell even in 3S you can't throw it very often, and it only deals one pixel. And I'm sure they only do that so you have to block it. So I'd call it his projectile (maybe) but it's not his fireball. It's super unique and its own thing
@@r1konTheAutomator they use it for setups and blockstun. Or usually to do an overhead while it hits them. But yeah I meant projectile, eh fireball/projectile is the same thing for me. I say fireball cuz everyone should know ryu by now lol and he's pretty universal.
Wow what an amazing match, I do agree that Kazunoko outplayed Smug on this match but I don't understand why people are trashing the players, both are phenomenal and just the best with their characters. But that Kazunoko... I mean, is there another player that makes Daigo look free? I think Kazunoko wins against Daigo 9/10.

Agh smug you gotta use those Counter moves ! It's so good against Yun with his dives and low jab, need to use Dudley at full potential damn I miss this game !

@@Dr6or7KraftSingles True, but in SF4 being pad player was bad because of how many difficult links and execution you needed to plink, option select etc. In SF5 none of that is needed so it's no problem
