Reminds me of the MaxOhJa from BakuRyuu Sentai Abaranger. It's red, black and gold, it stands up as its transformation and it rolls along electronically in it's animal form.
this and G12 are the most insane pieces of plastic I have ever seen. they must be powerful, real powerful, on a lovecraftian scale, as it hurts my eyes and disturbs me to look at them.
I don't know why but I LOVE this. It just oozes "I am an awesome GOD! Look at me and get blown to scrap metal!"ness. I probably couldn't even afford the sword at the moment but I'm so close to getting the whole set off ebay the moment I can.
Well, he has my vote. It's awesome that all the pieces of this robot go together just like Engine-OH G12 and how powerful it is as a samurai, but the back of it just doesn't seem pleased to me.
Great review! At first, I didn't like the Samurai series of Zords and Megazords, but now I do. I finally got the American version, but hope to get the original Japanese someday. Awesome!
Wow I love this review I should be gettin mine in a few days but u had me crackin up over here when your wife said nooo! That was the high light keep it up
Congrats--given your earlier review of the tiger/swordfish/beetle set, I was expecting you to be bursting a blood vessel by the end of this one. Scary thing--it *is* pretty show accurate here. OTOH, though I'm going with the US version, the 'final battle' is basically this getting blasted apart, bot by bot, so it kinda needed the custer-mess.
*falls over laughing* Very much depends on the season (series to the Brits), though they have been getting closer as time goes on. Original MMPR/Zyuranger was kind of hit-and-miss for esample, and in particular RPM/Go-Onger was *very* diffferent...though IMHO, RPM had a little better story, with Go-Onger being a touch too much on the silly side for my tastes. 'Super Megaforce'/Gokaiger was another case of being horribly different, though the the horrible firmly on the US side. Dino Charge/Kyoryuger hasn't been too good on the US side either, completely changing the villians, losing the musicand dancing theme of the Sentai, and creating a mentor and the 'Energems' out of whole cloth rather than using 'Brave'.
It rampaged as soon as it was made, hence why it was sealed in the first place. But I can see why you'd think that, the episode wasn't exactly well organised. It just kinda went "Oh hey, there's a carrier zord, the bad guys want it, go find it..."...
I still like PR/Sentai enough, but I can't collect Mecha/Megazords anymore. I can't afford to import the Japanese figures and the US figures just look like shit anymore. It's sad.
That. Is the best. Lobster gut hat. In existence. Also. It's thicker than like, 2 bricks. And like, as tall as 2 bricks. It's not just a brick. ITS 4 BRICKS!
Colvin Tallent you talking about the american version or the japanese version? cuz the american version SUCKS. the american version of all super sentai SUCKS.
It's about as rediculous as G12 Formation. Sentai really needs to tone it down on the gaint robot blob monsters they feel is needed for a final form. Remember the good old days of MMPR? Ultrazord had seven zords together, and it looked like something. Nowadays it seems to be a contest as to how many things can they stick together. Who cares if it looks like nothing at all, it's big and everything connects!
You guys may hate this Mecha but the people who made this took alot of time to play out how the parts go together. Don't put so much insult on this toy, it took alot of hard work.
what about the kyoryu origami? also, the irony of this creation is that it is one "zord" short of even matching the record for most pieces in a mecha, which Engine-Oh G12 currently holds. they even managed to somehow wield the kyoryu origami as Samurai Ha-Oh. i think that this, G12, and Ultimate DaiBouken were created in response to the mecha in Hurricanger since with both of the upgrades that Senpuujin got, they weren't able to use all of the pieces.
I hope we get Ushi Orgami in the U.S. Just because it may appear in the show, doesn't mean it well get the toy of it. Examples: Revolver Mammoth (Ninja Storm) BrachioZord, (Dino Thunder), WolfKaiser (Mystic Force) etc. Please Bandai of America give us all the zords of this line.
Kishamoth and Jumbowhale are. But those are really the only pieces that are slapped together. The designers were too lazy to find a spot for the Ika Tenkuubuster,Saru Origami and Kame Origami.
I like this more than the g12 as a cluster fuck megazord. I really appreciate the fact that they made the ushi origami as a stand because of its size, every zord/origami became a design. The only problem is its so huge that I can't think of a good place to put it. By the way, do you have the giant sword origami? It was used only in the movies so far.
You know i though g12 was bad but this takes the damn cake, who comes up with these ultimates the more i see them the more i go, what in the hell is that supposed to be.
