That was very helpful. I'm walking a neighbour's Kelpie. Superstrong, superfriendly, and a super-puller. The harness I bought is a step-in, attachment on the back, nothing at the front. Will get one of those ones now, otherwise I break my back!
I've got a double ended lead for my dog who was pulling me. I sounded like a tap dancer running down the road even though my dog is a smol Cocker Spaniel, I found it really helps, but most of it was my change it attitude with what I was letting her do. Now if she's on the two leads she walks to heel (most of the time) and if she is on one she has more freedom to sniff, then in the park she has no lead. Its such a pleasure to walk her now.
Best explanation of how to use these harnesses that I've ever seen. You even explained how snug it needs to be! Nobody else has done that. Thanks, mate!
Thankyou for this, i am trying a halti harness and double lead to help my french bulldog, who is a big puller. This video definitely helps understanding how the secondary lead is brought into use.
Good Daddy to make sure his boy gets his attention its good to see it .dad stops to give his boy what he needs. Thanks dad .now dogs turn. That you mate GOD bless you..
Thank you telling me how to correctly use this harness and double ended leash. I wanted to buy these but couldn't find any other videos with this much explanation. Maybe now I can get our dog trained!
ahhh miss those days before Covid. When everything was normal. Like going to the park with your kids and your dogs and laughing and playing. Love this training session thank you for your hard work God bless you all from here in America 🇺🇸
Finally! A well done demonstration video! We have two English Springer Spaniel puppies, now 8 months old, and it's been challenging leash and harness training.
Thankyou so much, best video using this lead. Glad I watched before attempting this with my 3 year old deaf cattle rescue Gemma. 🌻Have a great time. Oh! Thanks Jimmy for being so co-operative 🤗
I walk barefoot with the doggos too! Thanks for the info! I've got a smaller dog but hes super strong with an incredible nose, so can't wait to try this out for some less stressful walks!
Thanks for this video. I've tried almost everything: prong, slip lead, martingale, etc. and she still pulls hard. I just purchased a no pull harness with double lead. Hopefully my pup will respond well to it.
Thanks heaps! Just about to try a double ended harness in my serial pulling/rushing towards people and dogs dog bcos she manages to pull still on a halti.
Can you do a demonstration on an untrained dog please? It really doesn’t help that that dog is already trained bc if we’re watching this, chances are we need help with our untrained dogs. Thank you so much. I love your gentle and simple way of teaching. 😊
How does it help with a reactive dog who freaks out at bicyclists, dogs, joggers etc? Our hound dog FREAKS out and pulls like an insane banshee. Does this help control in those situations?
Great video! Very helpful… I have a puppy who I'm just leash training now and she's not quite four months old and she has a harness but I need to get a new one because she can get out of this one and she pulls and is very stubborn...Do you have a particular kind of harness you recommend?
Hi Jamie, the strap harness fits chest/girth 61-92cm and we also have an extension strap that can add an additional 25cm.
