Ok, 2 days ago, I ordered me another Note 10+. I had one 4 years ago, and, I think (I have to check) I still have my replacement tips for my up coming Note 10+. In Auroa White. Yep, I still have my tips, and tool. I also have tips/tool from my Note 8.
if we are talking Android, yes there are no more updates, 12 seems to be the last one. But I think it's the same with those security updates, I mean I didn't get any since I got my device
For those who thinks it has Android 12 and not update if you have some knowledge about how to unlock bootloader and install custom rom then you can even get latest one ui 6 ported from galaxy note 20 ultra on your galaxy note 10 plus Exynos and can still rock this beautiful phone in 2024.
Hi there. I have a Note 10 as well, and when I upgraded from Android 11 to 12, my battery life went down. I managed to downgrade back to Android 11 using Odin and it was back running as well as before. Then I got bored and wanted the new Android 12 features so I upgraded again, and same story with battery. I tried to downgrade again but the binary is now at 7 and it won't allow me to install one ui 3 again. So I could use your advice here - when you flashed your phone to Android 14 with one ui 6, does everything work or are there some compromises? Will Samsung Pass and Samsung Wallet still work? Also, is it complicated procedure? Thanks in advance :)
@@zeed5764 there are no bugs i have found on android 14 one ui 6. Its only available for exynos. Android 14 other cusrom roms are also available but no one has volte. Only one ui based roms supports volte. You can found complete guide on xda forum. Just search for galaxy note 10 plus xda in Google.
My EDC is the Note20, not the Ultra. This is my first Samsung and Android; prior eleven years I was iPhone only. My Note20, purchase in 2020, is an amazing phone, thus I would imagine the Note10 is as well. Wife has the S10e, it does have the card slot and for contactless payments both NFC and MST.
@ucbeki to me it depends on how it's used. I've started to use it heavy, so it lasts a few hours. But it recharges super fast, looks like 30 - 35 minutes from 5% to 100
oh, this was new, I had to really search for it at 400 EUR, others were even more expensive. Keep in mind that if it's cheaper, it's most likely refurbished and probably not on Snapdragon
updated dislikes: - MY PEN IS NOT A Samsung ORIGINAL, WHICH IS A MAJOR ISSUE! So be aware when buying old devices, even if the package is sealed - there's sounds coming from the back, like it's not glued right - there's no notification led, no headphone jack, no more android updates - had to set up a lockscreen because of the screenshots and pocket dialing - it's enough with the curved screens already and I'm not a big fan of the slim edges of the screen at the top and bottom (which are not simmetrical, this annoys me more than the punch hole camera) - the Goodlock app is still not available worldwide!
I am writing from the Note 10+ and I would only change it to another one with a Snapdragon processor. In 2024, I can still find it for purchase with prices between 500 and 770 euros for the 5G
Just this week I upgraded my note 10 plus that was in pristine condition and still a very capable phone in 2024 for a galaxy fold 5. For me it was the only upgrade worth taking.
I recently upgraded to Pixel 8 pro but was not happy with the display quality. Had to come back to this phone, for sure Samsung is the king of displays.
I was told you will no longer be able to use your banking apps on this phone because there will be no more security updates from Samsung after this month and also you can't use Google pay or Samsung pay because of the lack of security. Is this true?
@@the187alxif that’s the case I’m going to continue to use this phone for another year at least. No reason to buy something like the S23 Ultra for $1200-$1500 when this phone is so capable still. I look forward to hearing what you find out about security. Thank you. Great video and I will be subscribing to your channel.
I really appreciate it, thank you. I will follow up with you, as I'm currently testing the device for the long term review. And I agree, no reason to pay 1k for a device if you don't need to
I have a Note 10 lite and I can use banking apps and Google pay. I can even still use it on my Note 8. My Note 4 I can at least use Google pay. So I'm not sure how true that is.
mine lasts for about a day, when I use it hard for media and browsing. And I've put it on max brightness always. And I've turned on all the animations / transitions. And I usually charge it back at about 15%. And this charges super fast, no joke
sure you're welcome. There's other things you need to check: the pen should be the original bluetooth one, no screen burn whatsoever, no sounds from the back glass when pressing gently on it towards the edges. Of course, no scratches. This is because I think it's close to impossible to find this 100% new, after 5 - 6 years
Hi, nice video there. I'm of a particular interest in knowing how to get the type of your cases you use. It's been quite hard getting these sleek types which is exactly the types I prefer for my phones. Would be glad if u could help with the link to purchase some of them. Thanks -A Note 10+ user.
thanks. Sure here you go, these are the 4 cases I use, all from aliexpress, even the real carbon ones: a.aliexpress.com/_mKyMYfk a.aliexpress.com/_mOTz7wA a.aliexpress.com/_mMI5O0O a.aliexpress.com/_mtQm3eO
thank you. Well, to me and the way I use it, the battery life is quite ok (also compared to my old device). Sometimes I get 1.5 days of battery, some other just 1. I use it mostly for browsing, social media, youtube, music, some streaming. I will be doing a longterm real review soon
@@the187alx Thanks for the response, I just got mine three days ago but can't get me above 6 hours of use. I have tried changing all the settings plus using it on Battery saver but same.
wow that's kinda suspect, I'm sorry to see that. Is it the Snapdragon? I also use mine on full brightness during the day and only turned off the transition animations. I don't know, maybe yours wasn't stored properly? I hope you can figure it out, or get a replacement
Just read that buying such phone with 3/4 years old even its new, the battery life already half died (shelf life time). So do you recommend me to buy or not a note 20 ultra 5g? Saw new one with snapdragon version for $500. Im afraid to face battery issue within first year.
I'm testing my Note 10+ every day, so far there are no issues (with my usage the battery lasts a day and a half or so), but I only got it for 3 months. Even though $500 might seem like a bit much, I do actually recommend the Note 20 Ultra (but make sure it's not refurbished). It's so future proof and just having a higher android version it's an advantage over the 10+
thank you very much for your reply. yes I might buying it soon, seller said its a new phone (not renewed), its a US carrier unlocked, but the 2 things that made me waiting are: 1- afraid that the phone had left the Samsung factory 3yrs ago and now the battery shelf time almost gone ,so I might need to replace the battery which I don't like to open my phone and replace the battery in the first 2yrs at least. 2- the version of the phone is N986U (carrier unlocked), not the N986U1 (factory unlocked), some RU-vidrs say it might not work in 5G service, and some RU-vidrs says it will work. so I'm searching and googling the difference between carrier unlock and factory unlock to decide buying. hope to finalize this soon. @@the187alx
no problem, you're welcome. Well, carrier locked means that it will only work with a specific carrier and their smaller brands. Be aware to check the IMEI though, what you don't want is a flagged device (lost, stolen, fraud) regarding the battery, mine also sat for about 4 years but as I said so far there's no issue with the battery. If you change it though, I recommend an authorised Samsung service, because they offer warranty
While I agree that the galaxy phones from this era were way ahead of their time one thing many people don't realize is that the specs might look similar but keep in mind things like the ram might be the same GB spec but are totally different generations and speeds same with the on board memory and most importantly is the chip specs. What I will say is prior to the snapdragon 8 gen 2 it wasn't a huge difference but the gen 2 was a insane step up in efficiency and speed. The gen 3 is rumored to be even a bigger step up. So if your not looking for the s23 then the note 10 is a good option. I hate same sung removed SD cards but tbh it hasng affected me.
@SpreadingKnowledgeVlogs: "...So if your not looking..." should read, "So if you are, or so if you're..." It does make a difference, your and you're sound the same, however when written. they have completely different meanings and usages. Also, when writing your that which follows belongs to the person you are writing to. Truly I hope that helps you. Cordially.
@ricdonato4328 lol bro if I took the time to write proper English grammar on comments I wouldn't even waste time writing the comments to begin with. It's just like short hand I'm basically saying something that most people can understand what I'm trying to get across even if it's not the proper way. I have adhd so I try to type my thoughts as quickly as possible otherwise I forget what I'm trying to say mid way threw typing it out lol it sucks having shit memory like I havem
it depends, the Nothing 1 has the latest Android, the Note 10+ doesn't get anymore updates. The Note has a card slot and a pen and I think a better cpu. The Nothing has a better camera, on paper. Personally, I would make the switch, but only with a new sealed Snapdragon Note
first of all, this is actually 5 years old. Second of all it seems that you are the one crying, how big of a loser you gotta be to be so hurt about how somebody else spends their money? Trust me my boi, I'm good, my money were not wasted... "lol"
