New tank bag time. I decided on the SW Motech after seeing how easy to use the 'pro' fitment system is.
I found the review by Kristis LTU very handy - see here: • Review of SW-Motech Pr...
Though I didn't have the same fitment issues that he did.
First try out for the new microphone. Still need to work on placement so there's not so much heavy breathing ;-)

Thanks for your video, great to hear someone with true opinion of the system and what works/don't work. The E5/E10 sticker I pulled off the bike, like all my bikes, I sleep well at night now, LOL. Cheers

I still haven't pulled the sticker off. But then again I'm the sort of deviant that leaves the original screen protectors on electronics for as long as I can 😂

I like it! I decided to go with a Hepco & Becker Dual-Magnet Tank Mount and I adapted a Cortech Super 2.0 Low Profile Tank Bag. The Mount, nor the bag touches the tank and zero interference...

Sounds good - the mount is a bit ugly on the sw motech, but it does fit on/off well. Hepco & Becker stuff is usually good quality too I've found 👍

Great video, once again. I particularly like the zippered mesh in the top of the bag as I have an array of hats for all occasions that would fit in there perfectly, one at a time of course, and could easily carry on my persona of Mr Ben in any number of destinations. One slightly disappointing thing though, is that at 5.30 the diagram shows that you shouldn’t carry a horseshoe. I never leave home without one as you never know when one might be required. I agree about the stickers not being in line. May I suggest removing them? It’s a bit out there, I know, but it could be worth a shot. 👍

I don't think my fez would fit in that section. At the moment I'm using it to store a range of haslet, luncheon meat, and corned beef. I have considered removing the stickers, but I'm worried all the petrol will fall out... As to the horseshoe, you can see that the only way to carry one is upside down... which as any fule kno will only lead to bad luck, calamity, and perturbed horses.

I just moved the E5 and E10 stickers lower on the tank below the seat line, easy :)

Nice and detailed review and well the first thing I did after buying my V85 TT Travel was to remove those stupid E5 E10 stickers ;-)

Ha ha, I still haven't bothered to remove them, and they still annoy me when I notice they're wonky 😂

I had a SW Motech tank bag for my GS, one day 500km from home I barely got it loose. DON'T trust their system anymore. However, these systems differ a little, the actual docking point on the Guzzie is not over the fuel cap. Maybe it does not tolerate dust, I like to drive on gravel roads! At the time of writing, my new V85TT has rolled 412km and at least 60km has been on gravel road!

Interesting, something to look out for. Was it the EVO or the PRO fitment? (not sure how much difference there is). As I said in the video if you get the strap caught in the mechanism it's a right bu**er to remove too... I guess if it got really jammed at least I could just unscrew the bracket from the fuel filler and remove it that way!

Good review! Just remove the E10 E05 sticker, looks much better! Good luck with your exploding trousers ;)

Nice video, I am still looking for something smaller with a similar attachment system since magnets won't work on the Guzzi. And the sound is just fine.

Thanks. I still have an Oxford Products magnetic tank bag from the 90's - I could have used it on my V7, but the paint was too nice! So far I like the 'pro' system from SW-Motech - definitely seems to be worth getting over the previous 'Evo' rings.

So despite the RU-vid analytics - it seems a few of you DID watch to the end 😂- Now, does anyone know the exploding trousers reference? Might be only brits that have heard it before though...

You won't notice the misalignment of those tank stickers if they're in the bottom of your dustbin...just a thought 🙂

😃 A fair point, well made. Sadly I'm one of those people that leaves protective sheets on electronic equipment for as long as possible... so they're still there just about 😎

Looks like a nice setup. Not sure how well it would work for me since I have the typical American middle age stomach...

Good onya Multi, nice tank bag. Can you please list exactly which ring and bag you ended up with, I like the look of yours & don't want to order the wrong thing. That's if we get that model down under.

Hello MultiVogon, have a question. Could the sw-motech pro tank ring directly mounted on the filler cap without the metal extender. I"ll like the City bag that is why I'll ask about the mount position for the pro tank ring. I'll did fit the city bag lose at the bikecenter and then I'll have the same steering hit with the switches you did mention in the video, seems no problem.
@MultiVogon
@MultiVogon 2 года назад
Good question, I don't think so as the magnetic ring bolts to the metal frame with a different fastener size & pattern to how the metal frame bolts to the tank filler. I just think unfortunately the shape/design of the V85 tank means it is a bit of a pain to fit a tank bag whatever design they use.

Is this bag waterproof, I am looking a good bag for my drone and camera etc for my travels

I found because of the angle as in slope of tank. I found my shad allowed my crap to fall out because not enough side wall at seat. Is this one good. As in the rear of bag tall enough when open to stop stuff sliding out due to angle.
@MultiVogon
@MultiVogon Год назад
Hi, unfortunately the shape of the tank means the bag will be on a slope, so you do have to be careful when opening it. On the plus side the pro system means it is super easy to fit/remove the bag. I guess a bigger/deeper model of bag would be less prone to this?
@joeholcombe5387
@joeholcombe5387 Год назад
I purchased this bag and it didn’t come with tank ring is this normal. That they sell you a bag without the item to fit it?
@MultiVogon
@MultiVogon Год назад
Usually - the ring will be different for every model of bike - there won't be one that fits everything (for example the odd shape of the V85 tank means it has to extend down the back of the tank. Other bikes it'll be a simple ring above the filler I'd imagine.
