Using AI to scale global scale massive applications 

ByteDance is a global incubator of platforms with more than 2.5bn people interacting with its products including TikTok, CapCut and Douyin and AI is a big part of what makes these products unique. In this talk we will present how we use AI in making technology accessible for our users on one hand and run on a massive global scale on the other in the Open-Source. For example veScale is a framework, for parallelizing LLM training to multi-cluster, while allowing developers to write simple model as if running on a Single Device. BMF -Babit Multimedia Framework , provides a low cost, flexible AI multimedia processing framework for developers to build video applications from production to consumption. Monolith is a scalable and real-time recommendation system that incorporates time-sensitive customer feedback. Byconity enables cheap data management solutions by allowing compute and storage separation on public cloud like S3. We will also touch upon various AI 3D content creation software such as Magic Boost, Magic Animate and Pixel-GRM. At the end of the session understand how these projects can fast track their AI development goals with examples.
