My thought is 15 amp 120 volt is about 1800 watts which is a pretty low draw on the battery even if it was times 2. The person that sees every traffic light as a potential drag race will place much higher demand on the battery, something over 100,000 watts which would quickly create a lot of heat in the battery and potentially damaging it.
