The moulds you bought tell you how much iron/cloutium you need in weight on the side of them. You can weigh your bars with the measuring scales you can buy at other stores

After forging your bars leftover from making stuff deposits at the base of the anvil in a little tray. Hope this helps you not waste and help the progression of your builds!

Thanks for letting us know that as I had put 3 bars in there then loose ore but I still don't have enough. That thing takes a huge amount of ore to make.

There's a remain iron bar that you left at the bottom of pionty side of the giant anvil where they return it the excess iron left 12:05 you can see it from here that there's a iron bar placed at those mold thingy thing

Buy a construction Hammer cuz then u dont grab the furnace and on Thatcher statue for the big Hammer stands 300 if u buy a thing That shows the Weight you put the iron bar on it and if the iron bar is 300 weigt than Thats enough

I don't know the extent of your Hydroneer knowledge, but I'm pretty sure that smelting ores is a additive/subtractive process. Basically the most weight of whatever ore you dump into a crucible or smelter is what the liquid becomes. However the more "impurities" or not whatever the liquid ore is you add, the less weight you get overall of the bar you end up with. So if you took a bar of around 10 weight of gold, smelted it and then added a 15 weight bar of iron, you'd result in a 5 weight bar of iron. So throwing in a full pan of stuff without sorting it hurts you a lot since you end up with a lot of bits and bobs subtracting from what you're aiming for. So you lost all that iron because there was more shards in that bucket and that initial gold bar investment you went for got devalued severely because you just dumped in everything into it. It would have been worth more that that 1,100, but you mixed in impurities. So sort things out before you smelt folks. You get the most for your work that way.

Since I always sort my ores, I don't know how exactly impurities affect them. But what kind of ingot comes out in the end is determined solely by what gets melted down first!

When using the giant anvil it will deposit any extra iron that you haven't used to make the drill. if you look at the front of the anvil there is a little tray to the left where it will give the remaining resources that wasn't used when crafting items.
