When I was younger I used to see type blowers all the time. They blow a lot of air.

That makes a great exhaust fan. I'm replacing my furnace tomorrow after 25 years. Now I'm going to keep the blower from it.

Just a suggestion, put some insect screen under those louvers so wasps don't make a nest in there.

Those fans are great, and should really help, and once you mounted it, it really matches the outside of the shop nicely. Thanks for sharing my friend, be well.

The nice thing about that type blower is that during a power failure you can use a squirrel to power it. A larger blower can be powered with a Jack Russell.

I have used a squirrel cage fan in a window as exhaust through the length of our ranch home to bridge furnace and A/C season. I really hate to rush A/C. Just installed the same one we removed last year and though quiet and it fired right up it only runs a minute and then stops for a minute then blows for a minute and stops etc... We have used canned air and WD 40 and checked wire connectors :( rats...

The fan needs a load. Something to semi block the inlet. If not the motor well over heat and shut off. That’s why you are having your issue. Hopefully this helps.

Should put a kilawatt meter on that fan see how much wattage it draws. Maybe hook solar to it. I assume they use a decent amount of wattage.

You probably want to add some restriction to the furnace blower. Approx 1/3 of exhaust is usually close. It will draw too many amps without some restriction.

I wonder if he could weight the louvers it would have to blow more CFM across the louvers to get them to open up. This would cause some restriction just an idea… be blessed.😎
