Most of the guys getting hit in this video are so good that it's hard to see where they went wrong and left an opening. One second, they're boxing, and the next, they're getting tagged like like they're standing still.

Great stuff, my friend!. I like your style for sure ever since little Stevie Cruz (whose camp I worked with) put it down on McGuigan waaay back in the day...I've been a believer in that 45 degree offense. Additionally, nice selection of octopuses here. I'm glad you showed Tyson as most folks today just know him as a brut (which he was) but more than that....what put Tyson so far ahead of everyone was how technically sound he was. While it's to be expected due to the dream team of trainers he had growing up, I am hard pressed to find a more technical heavyweight...ever...than Tyson. For all you young dudes putting on the gloves....I know you've heard it a million times, but here's 1,000,0001: if you want to knock a MF out, get your half-step on, and bust his ass in the chin before he even sees it.

It's a flanking maneuver, which gets you out of the line of attack while letting you punch around defenses and pursue effectively. Very few trained fighters who are matched to your level will let you get 45 to 90 degrees on them. It happens a few times in this compilation, but most of these openings are way more subtle, and this dude is right, the champions at it are so fast and mathematically precise that even top notch fighters have no idea what has happened to them. It's as if they're getting hit from all angles and their defenses don't exist. Even in replay it's hard to see exactly how it's done at that high a level. So if you want to get an idea what angles are for, take someone who is trained even just a little and watch em spar against an untrained opponent. The trained guy will continually get on the other guy's flank and pick him apart.
