When you have your instruments going in to your mixer, or audio interface, then you need to connect it to the computer so that Soundcaster can get the audio. In this video the audio is going into the mixer, then into the computer with USB. Hope this helps!

So are you saying that if I connect some type of main out in the computer with the entire mix, soundcaster will be able to detect all seperate channels and seperate them even though they're all coming in mixed together from the board?

Hey Josias, you would need to use MultiTracks like they do in the video that are already separated and sent to an audio interface with separate channels. If the track was already put together, Soundcaster would not be able to separate them.

Hey David, Audiofusion currently only works on iPhones. PRIME would work on an iPod Touch though if you have iOS 11.

WiFi uses 2.4Ghz and 5.8Ghz. Did you invert the guitar wireless frequency, or does it really use 4.2? Nevertheless, you shouldn't have a problem so long as the router/access point isn't within 10 feet or so of the guitar's receiver. I presume your church uses WiFi already and you operate without interference issues. That said, you could use it (the church's existing WiFi) for this as application as well if you set up a separate SSID for it.

Nick Sanders my mistake! I meant to type 2.4 and not 4.2. From what I can tell, this system only requires a 5.0 ghz WiFi signal which in theory wouldn’t interrupt my 2.4 ghz guitar wireless system mounted in the same rack. I’ll just have to configure the router to only send out the 5.0 ghz band

Not to be too technical (I'm an engineer, so sometimes I can't help myself), because 5.8 and 2.4 are "harmonic" frequencies, there is always a chance that they can interfere with one another. (Every two cycles of the 5.8 signal correspond with every cycle of the 2.4.) Nevertheless, you should be fine, and that would be so even if you did not disable the 2.4 spectrum on your router. In my environment, I have mics using 2.4, 1.2, 800MHz, and even (don't tell the FCC!) some older 600MHz mics, and my guitars (both using 2.4), as well as WiFi using both 2.4 & 5.8. But even with harmonics all over the place, I have zero problems with interference, in spite of it all being in a relatively small space (worship center seats 200).

Nick Sanders no worries! I’m quite technically driven too (though you caught my lack of knowledge that it’s actually 5.8). I didn’t know they were working in harmonic frequencies with one another. My setup is the Shure glx system for my guitar. I only worry because I recently had interference issues with my church install of the same system for mics. It turned out there was a router like 6 inches behind the receivers that was creating an iPad control for the board. We turned off the router and they worked flawlessly, though we never tried the different bandwidth. If all else fails, I could simply use a longer Ethernet chord to move the router away from the rack a bit. Thanks for the help!

Yeah, that close, and it probably doesn't matter what frequencies are involved - something is getting squashed. I just did a show Sunday evening and ran into problems with WiFi when someone set an add-on wireless mic unit about a foot from the router. Fortunately I had enough cable to set the router on the floor about 6-8' away, and that was all the distance I needed to eliminate the problem.

Prime is an app used for multitrack playback. It provides a platform which gives you the control over the use of a multitrack file in worship. Allowing you to adjust individual volume levels, change the key, or tempo, all in real time so that you can freely use tracks in worship. At this time, it is available on iOS and Mac platforms!

@@loopcommunity ahh right I see. But I could use any software to run my Click tracks and backing tracks for my bands rehearsals and gigs then. usually, the laptop is running into a channel on the Behringer x32 then out to mu in ears. So this app replaces That then i am assuming

@@rune288 Prime is essentially its own DAW used for audio playback. If you have your computer routed to your board, you can use tracks in any program you'd like, Prime is just a very easy way to do this!

No, but everyone can download the performer app for free. However, you have to pay 99$ for the number of seats you want. For example, if you have an 8 member band you would need 800 dollars for those 8 seats. And once you purchase those 8 seats, people can simultaneously connect to Soudcaster plus you can swap these 8 seats with multiple musicians if there's a rotating schedule on a Sunday praise band.

Loop Community Thanks, this sounds like a really viable option but only when it's Android compatible. Mac is no problem but can't imagine I'd convince all the band to get iPhone!

They recommend a minimum of an iphone 6. Typically they list on Ebay for around $100. Which will still be cheaper than any other wireless solution.

This is a very comparable price to other in-ear monitor options. Most in-ear softwares need to be based on a computer.
