Can I just say in an inspection it is not ok to have no proof you teach as inspectors do not believe words they do not listen to practitioners articulation of a child’s development and growth. This is a really important issue. Funding is removed and children’s family lives are turned upside down due to inspectors not grasping practioners depth of knowledge and practice. Childminders are with children not doing paperwork and are at the forefront of educating early years but that is not enough document document document. Starting points , next steps and write up how you scaffold and what you teach from scissor work, mark making to letter formation recognising letters, building body strength and confidence, all of it write it up coz inspectors have an answer they want and if you don’t guess the correct answer the kids and families lose out
