Very unlucky pal, its been tough fishing since it was frozen over twice in a few weeks. I only managed 7 silvers last sunday but yesterday was a big improvement with a good mixed bag of carp and roach. 2 lads fishing off the car park landed on the carp and couldnt go wrong. Ps the toilet facilities are located down the side of the farm house but they aint for the faint hearted.
Nice vid westy toady I’m going fishing on my local river in london target is barbel but any fish is a treat in london even if it’s a gudgeon😂80% chance of a blank but last session I lost probs a 10lb barble lol it came right up to the net then Powered of any way I’m hopeful for today and thanks for the bread demonstration tight lines To you and your dad and keep it up AnglingWithArt anglingwithart 😂
I’ve had an even big clam than that one, out of same lodge but around the other side, I’d never caught one b4, that day over 40 fish mixed bag of silvers, Crucian, tench, perch, carp and even a Chub.
I tried using a banded dog biscuit instead of a wafter on the method feeder. They are buoyany just like a wafter. It was an experiment. Worked well! Carp loved it.
Bit of a faffing session pal lol..... That's winter fishing there all balled up and you cud be 100metres away from um, not be long for warmer weather m8
Great video I fished the peg were your dad was over to far bank on pole but in the summer. never tried bread punch caught mainly on pellet and red maggot had a great day
Another tough days fishing for you.buddy. The rain isn't bad if your catching but it's wet and miserable if your not!!I've just started using bread punch in the last couple of weeks. I find it hard to keep it on hair rig, (using a quick stop) 9 times out of 10 it comes off within a couple of minutes of casting. Looking forward to the next one where I'm sure you'll be catching again!
Oh you use those bait stops with a needle... now I get it. Also... Oh there's a tool for making bread bait, now I get that too. Learning so many useful little bits watching this.
Another really inspirational video so much so that I am Planning another trip starting April 30th with the caravan taking in Stoat Hall, Holmston Hall Tarporley (really recommend this for one of your reviews), Limbrick, German lane, High Heyes, and Lancaster House. Many thanks for sharing these places with such honesty and enthusiasm
Thank you so much !! Nick, just check Lancaster house is still open, someone told me he was shutting/selling it 😔 you could replace it with beacon view, fish the left of the lake near the house… video coming out tomorrow for this venue 👌🏻🎣
Really enjoyed the video, I much prefer watching you fishing like this, than a "professional" angler catching whatever the weather...or perhaps they don't post when they blank? Most pleasure anglers can relate to this, especially me and the collapsed chair.
Thanks Stewart ! I’m sure it’s not what everyone wants to see and I think it will probably bore some people if I’m not catching… but as you say it’s real it’s true to life and gives people the correct expectations of winter fishing so they realise it’s normal to blank sometimes. The professionals definitely don’t put videos up when they blank and mostly put videos up to sell products not necessarily to help people or Vlog 🎣👌🏻
I used to use bread for carp floater fishing but the last few years I use fake bread made with pop up mix and dyed white and flavoured it actually looks like real bread and no one does it as far as I'm aware. Being a bait maker I'm always Trying to think out the box but if you come out with a great idea make sure you don't tell a paid field tester for a bait company. Thanks to one guy from a big famous bait company stole it and every carp angler probably has a tub in their bag they stole my design and the name for it Lesson learned on that lol.I love fishing the method for match carp .I've got some small 6ml pop ups and hookbaits I made for testing I do like a mini snow man using the 6mls with the method something different mate.
It’s just a shame a lot of places don’t let you use bread as it is genuinely the best bait ! I Love the inventiveness of that Paul. Keep it up buddy 👍🏻
always tuff matt after a lake freeze! its the same were i am..i went yesterday but i had 2 bites but missed em! but wot was interesting the bait was those fujuka hookable pellets...and i tried a few other baits....tight lines to you and ya dad! he won the day again!...until next time...ps our lass said wash ya towel!...🤣
Hopefully we have better luck this week ! My Dad got some of those hookable pellets at one point, we never did well on them. 😂 it definitely does need a wash ! 🤣 it’s got at least another 3 sessions in it !
You nearly took my advice mate with the stop IN the corn but like I said if you use a band and stretch it out though the corn then let it sit in the corn you already have a band on incase you what to Go on pellets Cheers.
I gave my dad mine and he has been using it for his method feeder fishing with 45g feeders preforms well, nice progressive action but can cast a feeder no problem. I usually use between a 1oz and 2oz tip for 30/45g feeders 👍🏻👌🏻
It’s actually great Mark, I have been using it a couple of months now . I will be doing a review on it soon ! It’s a Preston innovations Supra 6 rod holdall 195cm fits up to 12 ft rods 👍🏻🎣
The ball-type floats caught up in the tree sound like either bubble floats or surface controller floats. Generally used for carp fishing when they surface feeding. Another great fishery review. 🐟🐟🐟
Well done Westy true to life video as usual hard going and harsh conditions but you stuck it out thanks I do pick up tips from your videos so keep them coming 👍
Well put together and enjoyable to watch learning a thing or two winter fishing, at least your Dad caught so not an entire blank, in winter looking at the videos every day is different and difficult at times, next time and keep the videos coming. The banjo feeders on Ebay can you use them with the Preston mould and what size 👍
Glad you like them ! We are all novices when it comes to fishing but we can learn from each other if you pick up a couple tips then it’s worth doing the videos 👍🏻
Yes I often use to get my line wrapped round the tip and had to ship my rod back to unwind before casting. But then I was watching one of your videos and noticed you spun the the rod over to untangle. Doh never thought of that😮
