Hey guys, I am Nick Hairup haha. Great video as always Steven! Inspiration for this came from when I played football, and just as a big football fan in general. Quarterback is the hardest read and react position in sports, so I decided to adopt a quarterbacks thinking style into my own play. Within each passing play or even running play there are different options the quarterback can use to best attack the defense. Their first option is usually the route or run that gains the most yards, if that isn't available they will go to a couple other reads or a simple check down, the least risky with the least reward but at least they are still moving up the field. Adopting this thinking style into paintball looks like what Steven described in the video. Go for the most ground, if it isn't there go to a different option, but just like football be careful because you might get intercepted haha.
Thx for the idea of giving more options and pushing fast. Sometime I just freeze up and forget to take the opportunity to move on which way or where to go when pinned down.
Yeah, that’s a hard thing to overcome. Playing as many points as you can while remembering to move up the field as fast as possible is a great way to overcome it, especially if you tell yourself that it’s okay to get shot!
14:40 that’s literally textbook “bounding” and it’s something I wish I saw used more often because it works extremely well. It is however, a very telegraphed move to have two players bound up a tape.
Don't miss out on an interview with Soulless Photography on Twitch with Steven on his stream ZeakinHD. It gonna be lit. 10/26/21 @ 7pm PDT. www.twitch.tv/zeakinhd
DUUUUDE, Brood War is amazing! Thanks for the comment :) I really appreciate you for doing that. And the time is tough for sure. I’ll be sure to keep uploading clips from it
Wow, this comment is amazing on such a deep level, I can’t even… well done sir. For those who don’t know, “there is no cow level” is the cheat in star craft brood war (where some of the music came from) to instantly win in single player. This comment is next level…
