I'm adding Levamisole HCL, which is sold as a cattle and sheep dewormer, to help my "Skinny" clown loaches. I hope that by treating the whole tank, I'll be able to save the fish from intestinal parasites.

its what I use as well! generally a great medication! and it does absorb through the skin! 100% hope they recover soon! cheers!

I am so beyond thankful to have finally found this stuff. It has taken me forever to figure out what to buy. I'm quite certain this will help my fish

@Drinking Water man I have terrible luck with treating fish. They both died. I don't know if I misdiagnosed them or if it was just too late. Actually now that I'm thinking back I had one fish die the day the meds came in the mail. I did more than a couple of treatments on her but unfortunately she died as well.

@Drinking Water I always see on the internet that levamisole is a great medication for camallanus and I'm sure it is. Probably just have to catch it before their intestines get too bad

Does this product work on detritus worms?

Not to my knowledge. I think it only works on nematodes.

is it possible that the loaches parasites are from the live snails you are feeding them?

I think Butterbean would have died long ago if that were the case. I suppose it's possible though. I don't know where else it would have come from.

The loaches still died, so I don't know if it didn't work, or they had something else.

What’s your dosage for the levamisole you brought it?

I can't remember now. If I didn't mention it in the video, then I will when I use it again in another video.

@@vb2377 It seemed to be. I'll have to do it again soon. It only "stuns" the parasites so the fish can pass them. It doesn't kill them outright, so the fish are susceptible to reinfection.

Dan Hiteshew So my endlers are nibbling on food and spitting it back out. One endler is straight skinny. Do you think levamisole is the right medication?
