Hello from New Zealand, watched the one you done with the rubber stamps and my thought went straight to these type of stamps as they seamed a bit easier I was going to test it and then you popped up with this awesome so now I know it will work, and the great tips with the mica.

@@frezzgarden yes, as long as the second layer is very hot and fluid it will adhere. If you pour it too cool the layers may separate.

When people use this soap…does the mica get on their hands? It’s very pretty.

Great question 🙂. No there is no mica transfer because only a very small amount of mica is used and it wears away gradually around the edge of the soap.

These soaps are pure genius! 🎉 I love them, and I love your channel because it inspires me to try new and different things! I have a set of little hedgehog stamps that I can't wait to try this out on! I am very curious as to whether a dimensional effect could be achieved by painting only the stamp area, sealing it with a layer of clear, and then preparing and applying a background layer, as you do in the mica painting video. Any thoughts? Thank you 😊 very much for these wonderful videos! ❤

Thanks for watching Susan! I love your idea. I think it could work as long as the background is still dark enough to make the stamp pop. Otherwise the stamp design may get lost. Give it a try, I'd love to see the results.

The bird stamps were from Kaisercraft and are not available anymore, but you can find lots of cute stamps on Amazon/AliExpress/Temu. For a link to the mandala stamps, check out the description of the mandala soap tutorial (there’s a link in the description of this video).

Could you use glue sticks on the stamps to remove them?

Possibly, not sure it would be strong enough to beak the seal the soap makes around the stamp. Give it a try!

Any way I can use stamps like these with words on them to do embossed soap? If I'm visualizing this correctly, the words will be backwards doing these steps. I saw your other embossed soap with the plastic that you hammered. I think that is the way i need to do words, but i wouldn't be able to hammer silicone. Would I be able to do it like your other video, only set the words in right after pouring, letting it set for an hour and then peeling back? I wonder if the silicone would sink to the bottom? Or do I just not use silicone word stamps?
