Basically I can always draw on xy. View option is for using the cube and face option you can select which ever plane and it will draw on xy.

We can use F5 key also to instantly change the drawing planes to/from x,y,z. But I am not able to avail this. Can somebody help trying this out & sharing their experience? Thanks

Dynamic UCS can be used to replace co-ordinate shuffling to some extent ie with dynamic ucs turned on you can select a plane for making geometries withour rotating UCS, see this article for more www.ellenfinkelstein.com/acadblog/use-dynamic-ucs-to-speed-up-3d-drawing/
