Thank you Lindsay for all that you do for the community. I love that you’ve been doing more with continuous lights lately as that is what I’d like to focus on going forward. This image turned out gorgeous and as always I love your use of color and light. Your team did an incredible job and the model is beautiful.👏🏼

This is an awesome photo. I'm going to try some continuous lights in my studio tomorrow. I never used them for anything but video lighting. Thanks.

I reeeeeally think you are a genious. And a great teacher, truly inspiring, very clear, sharing a lot. I can't stop watching videos and learning, and trying myself to reproduce what I get from your classes. Thanks SO much. One day I hope I'll meet you when you come to Italy! ;)

Hi Lindsay, I was wondering if there’s anything you’d recommend for attaching the gels to the continuous lights without them burning? Thank you!
@lindsayadlerphoto
@lindsayadlerphoto 4 месяца назад
First, I'd check out the full RGB lights like Nanlite 60C -- sooo good for that. Otherwise, no it's more about maybe have a silver reflector on to help create separation between the gel and light!

Perfect tutorials so far. You conviced me from another video to buy the fashion gray backdrop and play with gel also to make it change colors or i will use my RGB lights to change the colors. My question is the following: I have a 500w bi color continues light. If i use a gel on it and have it at max power will the gel color get burn out i mean fade due to the 500w output or it will still retain its color without fading?
@lindsayadlerphoto
@lindsayadlerphoto 9 месяцев назад
It actually depends more on the ambient light in your space and your camera exposure. If you mean physically fade, I'd personally not have the light right up against the gel-- give it some space so it doesn't burn!

i wish you would have told what the original background paper color is since the stills it already looks blue/magenta

Loving the deep colors Lindsay! If I may ask, what is the color code of the background you used? I am about to buy a new roll and I loving using saturated color as well!

Greetings, Lindsay! Do you have adapter recommendations for attaching the Profoto dish to bowens mount lamps?
@lindsayadlerphoto
@lindsayadlerphoto 8 месяцев назад
No recommendations really, I know they exist but sometimes it depends on the modifier. Like, speedrings are easy (for soft boxes) and I have some things where I go the other way around (Bowens to profoto).

Thanks Lindsay, very timely...my work just gave me some inspo to shoot models with saturated color schemes... on the 70-200, what focal length did you end up shooting at? Also, did you have the Forza 500s at 100%? I have 300s and I'm sure I could just up my ISO to compensate. Thanks again!
@lindsayadlerphoto
@lindsayadlerphoto 9 месяцев назад
I dont think I was at 100% (can't recall) but yes definitely up ISO to help or even a little wider aperture too.

Are the Grid on the Beauty Dish both metal ? I would worry a non metal grid would burn or at least smell like it, be damaged from the heat.
@lindsayadlerphoto

Yea the beauty dish won’t be affected by the heat I have it😊
@marcusavanti902
@marcusavanti902 9 месяцев назад
@@Ashleyunfiltered which one is it please ? I don't know any that have a metal grid. Every one I ever had the grids were always light weight plastic and my high powered LEDs put out so much heat, even more than a 300 watt tungsten modeling lamp I think.

Good to know. I am really trying to maximize my set for photo and video and having the lights linked and running a lighting sequence would be so amazing. They show it a lot in their marketing material. Waiting for it to materialize for me. @@lindsayadlerphoto ⏲🪃
