How I do Embossing Powder on my builds for Carpet , Rear Parcel Shelf and Under Hood Insulation . If you want to get really fancy you can use it for Head Liner as well .
I seen someone the other day apply the embossing powder after he got done spray painting… why the paint was still wet… it looked like it worked well. That looks very thick and I would think it would use more product? I don’t know… I have built about 30 models… and really enjoy them… and I am about to really start to build them.
Mark have you ever ran across a situation where you can't find a matching color for your interior carpet so you paint over the powder to match the interior. ( Can you paint over the glued powder?).
Yes you can Ken , I add a Couple of drops of water ( 2-3 ).......don't make it to thin . Try it several times on some test pieces First till you get the hang of it .
Is there a difference between embossing powder and flocking? Why would someone name it 'embossing' powder? You are neither embossing anything or replicating embossing. Strange.
Cork I have never used Flocking because all the Video's I saw on it the Flocking looks way to out of scale . The Embosing powder is closer to scale carpeting and that's why I use it . When embosing powder is used for what it was intended to be used for people use a hair dryer to melt and bond to what they apply it to . I use embosing powder as shown in video because it is more Scale Correct and I DO NOT USE HAIR DRYER .
