@@frenchryah221 mine isn’t 4c or anywhere close but it gets sooo damaged easy. 🥺🥺 Maybe it depends on whether you have high or low porosity hair? I have no idea, either way I hate it here lol
@@takiakohn6221 definitely believe it’s about porosity if your hair has a hard time holding moisture and your adding heat to it often it’s removing the natural moisture causing it to be damaged and dry. My theory lol
Loved seeing how real this tutorial was! I wish I had seen more hair tutorials like this that showed how most times the hairstyle won't end up the way we'd like, or that I could mess it up if I touched it when not 100% dry. Still loved how it turned out in the end :)
I straight my hair like 2 times in a month for over 4/5 years now if its not more. I have some heat damage in the front also. But my hair is still very curly just like yours. Try to make curls with the denman brush tail! I’ve tried it once and now I do it everytime. My curls are so poppin’ and they will stay until the next washday, like 1,5-2 weeks later
i can't trust bus drivers to arrive on time The other 2 weeks (sometimes 3) in the month that I have my hair curly i like to keep my hair masks in for 2-3 days. I’ll go to work with it in my hair just put it in a low bun and go. I also put rice water in my hair maybe 3/4 times a year. Just to give my hair a protein boost. When I have my hair straight I try to not straighten it the other days but thats to difficult. I try to not touch it the first 2 days but on the 4th day my hair will already look greasy so I have to create some volume by curling it with the iron lmao. And also I use the Steampod for 2 years now I think and I can say that my curls are much more curly now than when I used a normal iron.
i can't trust bus drivers to arrive on time So I feel like investing in a Steampod is the best thing a curly girl who likes to straight her hair can do.
You answered all my questions in this video. I have the same hair type as you and struggle to find a RU-vidr with my hair type to address my basic concerns. Thank you
Thank you for sharing! I've never tried tried those products before but you definitely got me ready to buy! My hair is straight right now but when I go back to my curls I'm definitely using it.
My crown area does the exact same thing! It doesn’t curl no matter how much product I put in. It has such a strange texture and I thought my hair was just damaged so I would consistently cut it but nothing would change :( I wonder if there’s anything we can do to change that or train the hair to be like the rest. I hate having multiple curl patterns cause it makes the wash and go process so much longer! I wish my hair would just have an even pattern all through out! This is why I’ve constantly shaved my head or just gave up on the natural hair journey and began to straighten my hair
So, I've felt the same and realised that it's because of the friction between the hair and the fabric we sleep on. If you sleep on silky fabric, the crown area won't get so much damage.
I think i have around the same texture of your hair as yours and what I did a few days ago was cut my curly hair with layers and most of the damaged pieces of hair were gone and my hair looks fine now. I will go a few months without doing heat styles because I'm scared it'll get damaged again. BTW you are so pretty🥰❤
The whole front U shape (from my hairline to my crown) is basically bone straight… maybe a slight wave unless I touch it too much then it goes straight. It has never really had curl and it sucks. I wish my curls popped all over like the back, bottom portion of my hair does
I also had a problem where my crown/roots were always frizzy. I never had this issue before, in fact they are usually so slick and oily I look bald. But it randomly changed despite using the same products for years and then without changing anything, it went back to slicked.....my only explanation is hormones/diet/weather?? idk
I have low porosity hair and it LOVES honey💖🥰. It really helps with moisture and length retention! I'm gonna purchase the hair mask, moisturizer, and gel. I wanna ask if the shampoo caused dryness because it contains sulfate😭
I think I have a combination of both low and high but I love incorporating honey in my routines! And yes the shampoo is slightly drying but I think that’s a good thing if you’re going to use the rest of the collection because everything else is extremely moisturizing! Hope this helps 💕
Try LIV for the crown of your hair mix it with a moisture bc it doesn't smell like flowers but your curls will be more define and soft ( just for the crown ) the rest looks amazing 💜💜
Try adding gel to your roots or no gel n doing two French braids then hooded dryer n take them out. Easier process than finger coils & it will stretch your roots n help them look less frizzy
lol my hair is the exact same! I cannot get the top sections of my hair to curl for nothing but /i suspected it was from heat damage from the sun in the summer possibly??? idk but glad to know I'm not the only one haha perhaps I'll start using perm rods to curl those sections!
My crown section is the same it’s so annoying!! The rest of my hair is 3c and then the crown is like 2c/3a, and the root part almost looks straight,, which is so annoying because the crown is important for volume. I’m thinking of curly perming that section.
@@Greenlleaff I use flexi rods so not the perm rods like in the video but I can say that flexi rods are not comfortable to sleep in. I’ve only slept in them a couple of times because my hair was just too wet and it was late in the night to dry and take them out. Perm rods might be a little better as they sit flatter on the head but I’d say try and make sure they are dry and set before bedtime. The curls are worth it though 😭😅
@@geekygirl01 thank you, i will try this! I’m always doing a bun because i feel so insecure about the crown section so i will definitely give it a go :)
No way u got no breakage I get a whole ball every wash and co wash 😭and we have similar hair mine is just not as defined and healthy 😍😍 mine is a little longer and thicker tho .
see i need help my hair is curly at the roots but everywhere else it’s straight and when my hair is wet it’s curly when it’s dry it’s straight idk if my hair is curly or straight😫
