Two years later I am enjoying your video and saving it to my email. Thank you. Sort of glad the one foil did not work, so I will not freak out when it happens to me, and it will.
Found your channel about 30 mins ago & already know I’m gonna love following you, thank you for not editing anything out, absolutely love the real true rawness &gave me a giggle bcos it’s exactly what would happen to me, I wish you lots of success with your channel & look forward to seeing more 🥰💜
Omg you are so funny 😂 I think we can be friends definitely! I love all the commentary and the no editing. You made my day. I just found your channel and so glad I did. Stay yourself 🥰
Thank you so much for being “real”!!! This has happened to me (the different colors not working) and I thought I was losing my mind!!!!!! I hope you’ll give us a redo if you figure out what the secret is to getting the different colors to work!!
I laughed so hard when you said I don’t know wether to keep that in or not, I was laughing and saying well it in it. Kind of reminds me of Gail (Jones) I think there in the UK that does polymer she has a special segment of her bloopers. She keeps it real and gives ya a chuckle. And we need the laughs these days anymore. Tfs this was beautiful even if it did go a little drab after baking. Hugs
Using the stencil is a fabulous idea, I've had the same frustration with some foils taking to the clay and some not. Thank you. I wonder if you resin a piece before you bake it, the colour would be more like the original foil...
I am/was a nail tech and sometimes ran into this problem and often the foil has a coating which can be gently wiped with acetone ( I think, if not isopropyl alcohol it's been a couple of years) then the foil would come away on your project...hope this helps xxx Love your real, raw video, xxx p.s. Treys Clay on youtube has done the foil too but the foil didn't dull when she baked it, perhaps you could compare notes with her as to what may have caused it xxx
I have had foils not work before too. I don't get why some do and some don't. It's not just with clay, I use them on my nails too and the same thing happens. I am like you though and try the same foil 10 times, like I think it's gonna work on the 8th or 9th try when it hasn't worked on all the previous attempts, lol. Thanks for keeping it real.
Just found your channel and am so glad I did! Beautiful work and now, if I can find the stencils and foils, I am definately going to try this next. Thanks so much sharing these lovely creations and I'll be looking at more of yours now! This made my evening. 💙💜💛😊
And you've just made mine! Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed this. Go check out part 2 where I have a giveaway for 5 sets of these foils. I love them so much that I wanted to share! 😁💗 I'll be doing a live draw this Sunday at 8pm uk time 😁
Hi.. new subscriber here, I love how they all came out, just gorgeous! also it was fun seeing your reaction to that one foil not sticking at all.. can't wait to see more from you 😀
Is the pink foil thicker than the others? Are there more inclusions that are making it slightly stronger which might be the reason it did not work? It appears less flexible from what I can see. Great technique though. Thank you.
Very cool. Somewhat like a stained glass window. With that beautiful pink, why not try it with a heat gun for a very short time. Correct me if I am wrong but isn't it supposed to be a heat transfer foil?
Not this one no, its removed by rubbing the foils onto a sticky surface. It's usually used for card making or scrap booking. I'm glad you liked the effect I managed to achieve I'm the end 🙂
Yes, I always start with less than I need, use that to spread over the piece and then if needed you can pop a drop or 2 more on and it will spread itself out. 😀💗
Apply foil after backing to retain the rainbow in the foil. Odd that the pink holographic wouldn't work. I was thinking when you moved onto the black clay, try again lol. Did your ever get it to work? What does shaking the resin do? I really enjoyed your enthusiasm
Maybe try the glue or Versamark to make the pink work? The falling item scared me. I thought you were falling. I know some foils work but not others. Sizzix has a new range of metallic foils that work with just a thin layer of glue.
Ooo sorry, I didn't mean to scare you! 🤣🤣 The spring arm that screws to my table to hold my phone broke. I now have a new one. I have since tried using the glue on pre baked pieces and it kind of worked on the pink but only in bits. I've done a follow up video which I'll publish in the next day or 2. Thanks for the suggestions 😀 and I promise, no more surprises!🤣🤣🤣
You can buy 2 different types of foil, some need heat to stick and transfer, others transfer very easily without heat. I think this must be whats happening.
