Growing food in your garden is fun, therapeutic and useful. But even a tiny pot of herbs on the kitchen window sill can give you that feeling of adding to your cooking with homegrown. So for tonight's dinner, how about a very quick and unbelievably simple creamy tarragon sauce?

I thought it was time to start getting back in the kitchen to give you guys some ideas for using produce from your gardens and I thought a wee bit of fun and silliness could go down well :)

Haha, made me giggle when you said ‘add a wee bit of fresh cream’ and proceeded to pour virtually the entire tub in! A woman after my own heart! x

I will have to get some French tarragon and try that on my steaks. I usually do onions and mushrooms. For the blanched broccoli, I saute it in a skillet with oil and salt ,garlic and a pepper of your choice and rasp the skin of the lemon in it as well until it looks a little toasted. Squeeze the fresh lemon juice over it at the end. It's delicious.

😂 we got so much grief for that... I should point out we didn't add the full carton of cream, we'd already used most of it LOL

Hi Eli, me again, can I ask you a question about tarragon? I have tried to germinate tarragon seeds for over 2 years with absolutely no success. I notice yours is French tarragon, I can only appear to be able to buy Russian! Any hints or tips as I see your tarragon is amazeballs 🤩

Ahhhhhhhh OK french tarragon is pretty much jmpossible to get seeds from... so you propagate from cuttings. To be honest its just sooooo much nicer than Russian tarragon that I wouldn't bother buying seeds. Just buy some little French tarragon plugs. Where are you in the world Bryan?

@@eliandkate I live on the North Yorkshire coast so climate wise not that different from yourself. Funnily enough I have started looking at tarragon plugs and plants as a possible solution.

ha ha ha it was only on Thursday and we're still in lockdown, give me a chance ha ha ha We've not decided yet. I pretty much knew it was dying and will have to come down before it falls down but Mrs A doesn't want to take it out. She's pretty much leaving it until it stops showing any signs of life.
