I put a floor jack through the bottom of a black tank and badly damaged it. Getting a new tank was taking months, with no end in sight. So I ordered some G/flex 655 epoxy and some fiberglass mat, and fixed it myself. I am now a big fan of G/flex. It makes a thick, strong surface and binds strongly to the tank, which is made of ABS plastic, but G/flex works on a wide variety of surfaces. The repair cost me about $115, whereas a new tank would probably have been over $1,000 after purchase, shipping and installation fees.
Choose the size according to how much damage you need to repair. After finishing my repair I had used about one quart, so I have more for later if needed. There are smaller sizes than the 2 qts. that I ordered. The link above will get you to the product, and you can browse from there to other sizes or types if needed.
West Systems (the makers of G/flex) makes several different kinds of epoxy. The one I used was G/flex 655 "Thickened" Epoxy. The other types may have worked too, but I didn't investigate those since the 655 looked like it was exactly what I needed.
