Humor can help make a good speech great, but what’s the best way to integrate it into a presentation? Watch this video to find out how to garner laughs without being a professional comedian
Just got back from a speech contest today. Thanks god it was hybrid so I did it in person. Muted zoom audiences are not what you want for humor as you have absolutely no clue if your jokes worked or not. I was able to make my audience laughed on several occasions during my speech, it was amazingly reassuring to see and hear their responses. The zoom experience was terrible. I will try to avoid virtual contest if possible.
It's ironic to have a 6 minute video on humor without any trace of humor in itself :) I'd expect some clips from contest speeches as an example and explain them instead.
The Engaging Humor pathways😳 was difficult, and I watched the tutorial, but the sencond speech, which had been delivered five times at the club, still failed, and the audience did not laugh. My quesition is , how do humorous speeches avoid being funny? Thank you.
