Using Ivan Balabanov's technique for teaching THE OUT 

"drop it" or "out" can be really tricky to teach some dogs, because most of them really WANT the toy so they don't want to let it go.
Some trainers recommend trading for a treat or another toy but this can cause issues, I've seen them first hand...
