Very nice video.. I just bought pure raw 3 for a week ago and no refund from DXO. I think it is bad since version 4 is just out a couple of days. I cannot use my om-1 mark ii I keep getting the message that the files are corrupted. Just spent about 14000 euros on camera ,lens and MacBook Pro.The 150-400 lens I had to send back to the shop after one morning of shooting, the lens elements made a constant noise and was not operating anymore, now I have a second hand 100-400 loaner from the shop … quite a bummer for me

Hi Ron, thanks for the comment. That sounds like some unbelievably bad luck - I assume some of the editing softwares aren't yet compatible with the om-1 mk ii? So sorry to hear about everything that's gone wrong - you'd hope that DXO would offer you a free upgrade so you can actually use their software with your camera.

I was really tempted to take you up on your workshop in Avon Gorge to photograph the peregrines, but sadly, I could not make that weekend. Hoping to get out there soon, but I visit Bristol less often than I used to! Great video.

Hi Robert, thanks for the comment 😊No worries, I live in Bristol so I'm happy to run them whenever I'm staying at home! Drop me an email if you have any dates in mind and I'll let you know on whether I'm around

Really informative video. Pretty much what I do too (use the exact same setup as you, OM-1 with 300 f4 pro) and Tc's, but learnt a few things, like holding Alt and using the mask slider, and global changes to masks. Any thoughts on the lens/background blur feature within Lightroom? Almost looks too severe to me most of the time, but need to play around with it more. I've just upgraded to DXO PR4 and initial tests suggests its even better at getting rid of noise. Agree with you about Topaz being too severe and cartoonish.

Hi Peter, thanks for the lovely comment - I'm glad you learned a few things! 😊 I think I'm going to do a video on the blurring feature, it sometimes works very well - the issue I've found is it doesn't copy the amount of grain that the rest of the image has, but I'll do some more testing and release a video soon 😊 great to hear about pureraw 4, I'll certainly be getting the trial soon to see if it's worth the upgrade

Nice I like the subtlety. Any thoughts on 1. LRC bokeh? and 2. vignetting?

Thanks Scott 👍 I think the LRC lens blur feature works well in certain scenarios, less well in others, think I'll do a video on it soon. Vignetting I do like and use quite often, however once again, I think it needs to be subtle! Only my opinion though 😊
