I have set up my outputs so that Piano goes out of 1&2, Panel A synth goes out of 3 & panel B synth goes out of 4. Instead of setting my synth at a lower volume, I set it at full volume and trust my front of house sound man to mix the piano and pads to what sounds best out there. It also gives him a better/stronger synth sound to work with. I'm also able to adjust/balance it how I want to hear it on the fly with my in-ear monitors by bringing it up or down if I need to in my in-ears vs. changing the volume on my keyboard which messes with what my sound person is getting. (Sorry, there's probably a better place for this comment, but...) Thanks for all the videos.
That's a nice way to do it. I've done something similar in the past especially when the FOH has subs and the FOH mixer wanted to pull some of the synth out or EQ it differently. Thanks for the comment!
Hello Douglas! Thank you so much for making these videos. Our church recently purchased this keyboard and your content has been super helpful. Would it be possible to do a video on song mode as well? Appreciate all the tutorials!
Quick question: can you reserve or set the A or B panels to be separate from each other?? For example…I play for a charismatic church & I want panel A to be my Praise patches & panel B to be my Worship patches. Will I be able to do that??
Wow man, all your videos are helping so much on the nord stage 3!! Just one question, do the live mode sounds still save even when you turn off the keyboard?
I would really like it if the live settings were saved as a basic patch. So that I know what sound I am getting to. I am turning knobs all the time on my Electro 5D, and so I am constantly changing the sound under the live buttons. So I will never know what sound I will get when choosing a live button :-(
You can save your live preset to a preset location using the Store button. I'll be doing a video on modifying and saving custom sounds in the near future, so hopefully that will give you a play-by-play!
Ciao great video, good!!! have problem :( your program panel A number 5 section see pad !! i can't insert, I can only insert string no pad how to do it? thanks
Coming from Roland Jupiter 50 I am enticed to upgrade to get Nord stage 3 or Korg Nautilus, playing live one set consist of 15 songs with different patches & easily calling them is a struggle with my current Jupiter 50. screen on the Nord is smaller compared to Korg. How do I deal this scenario with the Nord ?Thank you
Hey, the Nord has song mode which allows you to string together programs for easy recall during a live show. This video might help you out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bKqV1ZOQbBg.html
If you go to Nords website, you can download it from the piano sound section. I have a video explaining here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TRGvr33sXMk.html
Please get off droning about the B3 & Leslie presets; many of us don’t care about the organ and Leslie presets. Don’t get me wrong, we want and welcome the options but it’s not our mainstay sound in a live environment.
