Hey there. Thanks for this great video. Is it possible to set the position of the boat a few feets away from the targeted fish (purporse is linear casting and not jigging) with the nose of the boat pointing exactly and precisely to the target with the i Pilot Link by setting the target position on your Humminbird Unit ?

Hello Bob, i see you have a Solix for side scan and a lowrance hds for 2d and down scan. Do you have interference with 2 transducers?

Thanks for the video. One question - Assuming your side imaging transducer is in the back of the boat? Do you need to give the transducer an offset value to make sure so that when you spot lock, you are actually over it at the front of the boat?

I just put a solix 15 on council and solix 12 on bow when sync togeather it has a red ! But the other one has a green need help

I have a question....let's say I had my screen split between a chart and side scan. I'm cruising along and spot some fish on a point. Can I go to the chart screen and place a spot that would position me further out on the point and then "goto" that spot and cast to the school of fish on the point?

Bob, thanks for the great demo. Very clear and informative. If you have a waypoint stored in the Solix, can you direct the trolling motor spot lock to go to that waypoint instead of using the cursor?

I'm sold. I have the Solix 15 on a 26' Seaswirl WA. I'm looking at the Ulterra 112/72 I-Pilot Link next spring. Hopefully they will make a longer shaft by May 2021

GREAT VIDEO!! Your video just helped me make the decision on whether to get Ipilot Link or not on the Ultrex I'm about to buy....LINK it is!! NOW....the only thing left to decide is do I want JUST down imaging or the new Si/Di Ultrex?!! Trying to find a video of someone who has one already, but no luck yet.

Now that's fishing! I'm trying to figure out how to get all that on my colorado pontoon boat, hook it up to my shimano electric reel to automatically drop and jig my lures, and get it to light my mounted gas barbecue to heat up when fish-on is detected.

Bob, Such a great video. So many do not understand that we watch the videos to learn and their ego trips and silly chatter don't help! You also understand that screen flash is the enemy of learning. Honestly this was clear as mud. Your cursor had moved off of the target. Once you got to the target, you never showed it on the Solix. I dont understand

Here we are almost two years later, and this was a super-useful video - thanks! I am about to buy an Ulterra or Ultrex, but I use Garmin 106sv's. If I were to be moving along, looking at side-scan (or Down Imaging) and see some structure on the screen, I know I can mark it as a waypoint. Is there a way to tell the Ulterra or Ultrex to go to that waypoint (using iPilot GPS rather than iPilot Link) since I'm not using Humminbird screens? Would I just have to manually 'drive' my boat to that waypoint?

Can you use this same process to fish a particular line of ridges / structure over, say, 1000 yards? (Fish down one side, then back the other?) Or, can you only use this to keep your boat over a particular target?

Could you create a waypoint on the target as you go and build a 'follow route' using that string of waypoints?

Are the trolling motor and fish finder linked tru bluetooth..

Isn't technology awesome. Between the ipilot link system and garmin livescope I'm shocked that we ever caught fish 30 years ago lol. I remember my grandfather having a graph that printed on a roll of paper when I was a kid and also having a flasher

Would you recommend using a side imaging transducer build into the lower unit of the trolling motor since you wouldn't be using the SI at optimal speed?
