Using my iPhone as the Best On-Camera Monitor I’ve Used - Accsoon SeeMo 

Been using my iphone as a monitor for the past year with the monitor+ ap, which is good....but lags, sometimes drops signal, and can only output a 720p image...... I was about to buy a ridiculously expensive Sony phone just to have a solid wired connection and higher resolution mostly because I want to be able to take a screen grab of what I'm shooting and make quick reels/and/or give the client something to post to social. I didn't even finish the first video I saw about this product before ordering it - just got it in last week and have shot 3 shoots with it. I can say without a doubt this is the best accessory for any camera with a HDMI-out signal that I've ever used. If it died today I would buy another. Perfect for showing the clients footage and/or immediately making a quick reel after a long day of shooting without having to load anything into a computer or even removing your sd card from your camera.

Holy cow this is amazing. You mentioned being able to use it with a 12" iPad - which is obviously ridiculously big - but I'm thinking the newest iPad Mini would be *perfect* for this. it's bigger than the small phones but gives you a way better screen than anything else you'll be able to find in the "on camera" class of monitors. What a fantastic device, thank you for sharing.

This is unreasonably stupid levels of good. Holy cow, this is nuts.

I have one. It’s a pain to setup. A field monitor is one step. Turn on. The Seemo is many steps plus you need to turn a lot of features off your camera to use it as an recorder. I’m thinking of selling mine.

2,000 nits is is impressive, but when displaying at that brightness, an iPhone's battery drops at a precipitous rate. And since this product occupies the charging port and does not provide power, the phone cannot be charged while using this product. It records, but only at variable rate,. so the phone recordings won't be terribly usable for many. The power and wiring make this far more fiddly than a typical on-camera monitor. And including an iPhone 14 in the price makes it about 10 times the price of on-camera monitors that require far less faff. Interesting concept... but would wait for a version 2.0 that is able to power the phone, or better yet, use far less costly Android phones, many of which have screens that are equally as bright.

50 dollars too expensive, at that price you can almost picky up a stand alone monitor. The brightness however will suffer but you wont be stuck using your phone for it either - which i already use for my drone. Very interested in the device, all the same.

This device should offer the option of turning your phone into a HDD. It kind of is that already, however, I am talking about just transferring files without encoding them. So, for example: Take an old school camcorder with firewire out port, connect that to this device with a firewire to lightning adapter and BAM. Now you can transfer your files from a camcorder without having to use a PC or bu a 20-year-old Sony device.

Have you ever attempted to utilize the app for capturing an incoming video stream directly from a camcorder, leveraging the camera's firewire out port along with a firewire to lightning adapter? Thanks.

Have you had a chance to test out the long format recording since this review? I'm thinking of picking the accsoon up to bypass my Lumix G9's 30 min recording limit, i was wondering if they fixed the whole "no storage space" issue since the review? Is it any better over usbc and IPAD? Awesome review, love the honesty!

I was going to purchase it but a monitor is equally as expensive so i’ll go with the monitor

I tried something similar with hdmi to hdmi cable + video capture + lightning to usb 3 camera adapter, i tried to connect my Canon r7 with iphone 12 pro, but it showed error that accessory such a usb 3 adapter need more power, so i plugged in charger and it doesnt show error anymore, but still doesnt show view from camera, i used blackmagic camera and CamX app, aby ideas ? Maybe iphone 12 pro is too old?

Why not just use a Sony Xperia... No additional boxes, batteries or anything like that. Just a cable. Then you not only get 4k HDR OLED display but Wave Form, false color and streaming.
