You know you don't need to do *this* but if you change the tools and sanitation you can just make wine an white lightning at home and it will probably taste just as awful. If you want to see a more redneck at home version of prison wine look up Finnish Kilju, which as the name says will kill you.

I had the opportunity to try some legit white lightning from an old dude who just got out of prison on a 17 year sentence for meth cooking. Dude pulled a mountain dew bottle full of it out of the back of his car and let us have some. I was genuinely surprised, it was actually a pretty decent white wine. He also then taught us how to cook meth step-by-step.

It's amazing how creative people in prison are. This is an incredibly cheap way to distill alcohol. No burners, no kettles, no condensing tubes, no copper, no nothing. A bucket in a bag. Kinda brilliant.

Ok, I found this by accident because I watch a lot of cooking videos so this came up on my feed, so I started watching some of your other videos, and wow what a life you have lived. The cards have been stacked against you most of your life and fell, and able to get back up and turn your entire life around. Hats off to you sir, since most people could not have done that. Proof right there we need prison reform. Prisoners should be provided with meals no less quality than what children get at school. The big holes in the wall should be fixed for sure. I always knew about prison hooch, but never knew of white lightning. Keep up the good work!

If I had to guess the bread didn't do much it was actually the skin on the fruit The skin of every fruit has natural yeast on it that when left for a period of time will start to ferment the sugars if you use a yeast packet though it speeds it up also the cooking of the wine is called distillation its removing the water from the wine for a stronger ABV percentage
@TetrisMaster512
@TetrisMaster512 Год назад
Yeah baking bread pretty much just kills off all of the yeast present in the dough, the yeast comes from the fruit peels, the air, and literally anything that comes in contact with the ingredients. If I recall correctly, wild yeast also has a lot of variance in how well it tolerates alcohol, so there's the potential for it to die off before your brew gets past a few percent ABV. That along with some of the funky tastes that wild yeast can produce tend to relegate it to specific niches like with sour beers or sourdough bread. Also, distillation technically isn't removing the water from the wine, it's removing the alcohol, since alcohol has a lower boiling point than water. Does achieve the end goal of substantially reducing the water content in the end product, but yeah.
@JimBob-lf8ge
@JimBob-lf8ge Год назад
The bread does serve a purpose actually, since the wild yeast from the fruit skins can be very hit or miss the dead yeast from he bread serves as a nutrient to keep the alive yeasts from the skins going.
@danautore3977
@danautore3977 Год назад
Not quite. Distillation is the removal of alcohol from the wine, not water. Alcohol boils at a lower temp than water, so alcohol is removed first from the wine, evaporates onto the bag, and collects at the bottom. It leaves the wine with a much lower ABV and the distillate has a very high ABV.

With alcohol prices going higher and higher I have been maiming homemade wine at home for about 4 years now. I however use empty milk jugs. I use fruit juice, sugar, water and yeast. I was laughing pretty hard once you mentioned the amount I was like I hope he says 1lb of sugar per gallon (I brew) and you were spot on. Just an fyi, the kind of yeast matters as well. Using “wine yeast” will get you roughly 10-15% alcohol and likely have a very dry wine as that kind of yeasts eats all the sugar, and if you wanted sweetness you could always add more fruit juice or whatever your using on the back end.

I think it's a good idea to show people how to do things and tell them why it's a bad idea. There are a lot of risks to making your own alcohol. But typically the more informed someone is the less likely they are to do something stupid. In Australia (at least 15 years ago) it was completely legal as a minor to buy a home brew kit. My mum helped me brew my own beer, and by the end of the process she let me have a sip but I never had any interest in drinking it. I

That which was lit on fire was deffenently not ethanol.. It is a good test but ethanol will burn with a not so visible blue flame and will not "flash" yellow like gun cotton. 100 proof (50% alc) and above will burn and the higher conentration it is the less water will remain after the fire has ended.

@willquigg8265

I would use a plastic pen with the filler and ends taking off so it is like a straw for my breather. You put the straw in the top of the bag and tie the bag around the straw and then cap the straw off.That way you can burp it. Keep it warm, we even used to put blankets around it and the bag will fill up with air. Then you just take the cap off of the straw and release all of the gas from the prono. Sometimes we would even inhale, we called it taking a bong hit, but we would inhale the gas to see how strong it is. You will definitely get a head change on the gas alone. We would always peel the fruit first. Grapefruit, and corn work the best for White Lightning. When we have corn for dinner, we would just get one of the kitchen workers to bring us back a bag of cooked corn. We would also use an old clean t-shirt to strain it when it was done to get rid of all the fruit. That is what makes you sick when you drink some of the rotted fruit. So you want to make sure to get all of it out by straining it through an old t-shirt. At home, you can use cheesecloth works the best to strain it.

ALL the instructors were fairly heavy drinkers, and weed smokers, and we were all getting paid crap money so we didn't exactly have loads of spare money for decent quality whisky (OR anything else for that matter!). We REALLY should have made this sort of thing. Plenty of space to do it, and plenty of opportunity to get extra fruit and bread from the kitchen tent!

The problem is you aren't removing the acetone and methanol products coming off the improvised distiller that come off first. We call that foreshots. That's why you hear of people going blind from moonshine. The first stuff that comes out are impurities. I'd recommend putting a tube if you could get it through cold water in a cup to condensate and pull off the bad smelling stuff. Then you'd have good alcohol.

Can't this be used for an molly? Just put white lighting into an glass jar or bottle (which is very hard to get ofcoz bc its an weapon) then just put rope or cloth around it light it with broken wire if you use some white lighting it will fuse faster and then its lit right?
